EnglishRemember how last week I talked about how the first day of classes were moved forward by a week. Well, scratch that. Again. A few days ago, we were informed that the start of school was pushed back a week. Which means, it now starts when it was originally scheduled to start. But before I change the teaching schedule yet again, I’m just going to wait until the first day that I’m actually in the classroom, face to face with my new students. DeutschErinnert ihr euch, wie ich letzte Woche davon sprach, dass der Schulanfang um eine Woche vorverlegt wurde? Nun, das ist Schnee von gestern. Vor wenigen Tagen wurden wir informiert, dass der Schulanfang um eine Woche nach hinten verschoben wurde. Das bedeutet, das Schuljahr beginnt für uns, so wie es ursprünglich geplant war. Aber bevor ich den Lehrplan wieder auf den Haufen werfe, warte ich lieber bis ich tatsächlich im Klassenzimmer und meinen neuen Studenten gegenüber stehe.

EnglishIt’s a fun weekend for us, as everyone is in holiday mode. And lucky for us, the school allowed us the holiday. Until the day before the holiday it was uncertain whether the school would grant us the holiday, or, due to covid restrictions, would go on with business as usual. But we’re thankful that at least a few things are as they used to be. And to all of you: Happy Mooncake Fest! Deutsch Es ist ein gutes Wochenende für uns, da jeder in Feiertagsstimmung ist. Und wir hatten Glück, denn die Schule hat uns den Feiertag gegönnt. Bis zum Tag vor dem Feiertag war es unklar, ob wir den Feiertag bekommen, oder ob, dank Covid Restriktionen, der Alltag normal weitergeht. Und wir sind dankbar, dass wenigstens ein paar wenige Dinge so sind, wie sie einmal waren. Und euch allen wünsche ich ein schönes Mondkuchenfest!
