Freebie Freitag: Like Sunshine – Part 5   I know I’m constantly lagging behind, but life’s just been really busy lately. Still, I believe I have some really good news for you. I did some math the other day, and saw that there are enough weeks left to work on an autumn themed kit, and to still get you another Christmas kit before Christmas season is over. So, even though I might not always get to sharing things with you on time, I hope you keep an eye out toward this little corner of the world, because I fully intend to have shared 2 more kits by mid December. Craft Corner: Autumn Word Art

Bastelecke: Herbst Wortbastelei   Fall is coming, and lately, I’ve been having fun creating a couple of fall decorations for my home. Around here, people simply don’t decorate their homes according to seasons, which means it’s really difficult for me to get anything seasonal. But with the help of my Silhouette and some craft paper, I’ve been chipping away and my home now looks like a little autumn garden.   Der Herbst naht, und in letzter Zeit hab ich viel Spass gehapt, ein paar Herbstdekorationen für mein kleines Heim zu basteln. Hier dekorieren die Leute ihr Zuhause einfach nicht den Jahreszeiten entsprechend, was bedeutet, dass es sehr schwierig für mich ist, Säsonbezogene Deko zu finden. Aber mit der Hilfe meiner Silhouette Cameo und etwas Tonpapier habe ich es geschafft, mein kleines Reich in einen kleinen Herbstgarten zu verwandeln.

Fundgrube am Mittwoch: Scrapvorlagen von Sara Gleason   So, if you know anything about my scrapping style, you know that I totally dig white space layouts, that is layouts that have one main cluster and not much else. And one of my favorite white space scrappers would be Sara Gleason, who is also an awesome template designer. Her templates and designs inspire me constantly. And here’s the good news: If you go to Sara’s website, you can find a ton of free templates right there, ready to download. Bastelecke: Häkeln – Hut und Handtasche   Check out what I’ve been working on this week! I think I told you that I’ve started working on another mini album, and for this, I thought I might add a couple of little crochet embellishments. So, I got myself a set of crochet needles and yarn in a range of different colors, and then, with the help of some youtube videos, and my mom (who actually sat down with me for hours yesterday via Skype), I learned how to crochet this cute little hat and purse. (Did I tell you that the last time I ever did anything like crochet was during 4th grade in elementary school? That’s like a lifetime ago, and I completely had to learn things from scratch again.) But as my mom was kind enough to sit down with me and crochet one set of these on her own to teach me, I was able to complete this project and can’t wait to put it on my cover page of the little mini …

Hybrid Hub: Lighthouse from svgcuts.com

Bastelecke: Leuchtturm von svgcuts.com   Last week I shared with you a little rowboat project that I created recently. This week, I’d like to show you something that I totally fell in love with the moment I saw in the svgcuts store. It’s a (not so) little lighthouse, made completely of card stock, patterned papers and vellum. I simply cut out the pieces with my Silhouette machine and when I thought that assembling this would be tedious, hard hard work, I was surprise how easily everything came together. Really, even very unskilled crafters can put this together without stressing.   Letzte Woche habe ich euch ein kleines Ruderboot Projekt gezeigt, das ich vor kurzem gebastelt habe. Diese Woche möchte ich euch etwas zeigen, das mein Herz sofort hat höher schlagen lassen, als ich es im svgcuts Store gesehen habe. Es ist ein (gar nicht so) kleiner Leuchtturm, der komplett aus Tonkarton, gemustertem Papier und Transparentpapier besteht.
