Freebie Freitag: Where Blessings Fall – Teil 1 Oooh, I’m excited, because it’s finally time to start sharing a new kit with you! Fall is at hand (at least in some parts of the world, which means that this is the time of year when I start to miss home, because we don’t get much of autumn here, and then nothing really of Christmas either). But as we’re not talking about my love for autumn here, lets stay focused. Back to the kit. Once more, “Where Blessings Fall” is bigger and better than anything I’ve shared here before (I don’t think I’ve ever included so many pieces in one kit). And it’ll be perfect to scrap those autumn/thanksgiving memories that you’re about to make this year. There are, however, enough neutral papers and pieces included, that you can easily use this kit for any occasion, really. Bastelecke: Herbstlicher Blumengarten – Teil 2 I’m happy to show you the next flower in my autumn flower garden. This, too, was made with a cut file from svgcuts.com. All I needed to do is cut the various pieces from colored card stock, crease and fold things, and then assemble everything. Es freut mich, euch heute die nächste Blume aus meinem Herbstgarten vorstellen zu dürfen. Diese Blume wurde ebenfalls aus einer Schneidedatei von svgcuts.com gemacht. Alles, was ich tun musste war, die einzelnen Teile aus Tonkarton auszuschneiden, dem ganzen ein bisschen Form geben, und dann zusammenkleben.

Inspiration am Mittwoch: Waterlogue App I have a rather unusual little gadget that I’d like to introduce to you today. An iphone app that I came across a couple of days ago when I was looking for a way to turn photos into realistic looking watercolor paintings. You may guess that I know my way around Photoshop somewhat well. But I haven’t yet been able to create a watercolor painting from a photo that looks realistic enough for me to be satisfied. With all my trying and tweaking, using filters and what not, the PS paintings still came out in a way that I thought it looked way too much like a photo turned into some kind of wanna-be art. Result: me = not happy! So, I did a search (hoping to maybe find a PS tutorial on how to create realistic watercolor projects), when I happened to stumble upon Waterlogue. It’s an app for your iphone or ipad (not sure, if an android version is available, too; you might want to check it …

Craft Corner: Fall Flower Garden, Part 1 – Sunflower

Bastelecke: Herbstlicher Blumengarten, Teil 1 – Sonnenblume Last week I began to show you my most recent fall themed craft projects. This week, I’d like to continue by showing you the flowers I made, with the help of my Silhouette Cameo and cutting files from svgcuts.com. We’ll start with the sunflower. I love how it’s so easy to cut out and put together (you need the Studio Designer Version for your Silhouette), and how much the flower really looks like a sunflower. They’re also perfect to decorate any card you’re making and are sure to give anyone who receives that card a ray of sunshine. Letzte Woche habe ich angefangen, euch meine neuesten Herbstbasteleien zu zeigen.
