Travel Log: A Weekend Trip – Day 2

Reisetagebuch: Eine Wochenendreise – 2. Tag   We’re still out and about traveling, though doing our best not to become like the average tourist. Thus, our day was filled with errands like an embassy appointment, shopping, meeting friends, and some little extra treats, like the Cold Stone ice cream we had after lunch. Yum! Here our day in pictures: Wir sind immer noch unterwegs auf Reisen und tun dabei unser Bestes, nicht wie durchschnittliche Touristen rüberzukommen. Unser Tag war daher mit Besorgungen angefüllt, wie z.B. Termine auf der Botschaft und mit Freunden, Shoppen und ein paar kleine extra Versüssungen, wie das Cold Stone Eis, das wir uns nach dem Mittagessen gegönnt haben. Lecker! Bastelecke: Karte #73 – Hochzeitskarte   Before I show you a couple more mini albums I made recently, this week I’d like to share another wedding card that I made for some friends of mine who got married recently. This was just a quick little card, made with my Silhouette Cameo and a piece of ribbon. Bevor ich euch noch ein paar neue Minialben zeige, die ich in den letzten Wochen so fabriziert habe, möchte ich euch diese Woche erstmal noch eine Hochzeitskarte zeigen, die ich für Freunde von mir gebastelt habe, die kürzlich geheiratet haben. Mit Hilfe meiner Silhouette Cameo und einem Schleifenband war die Karte in Windeseile gemacht.

Reisetagebuch: Eine Wochenendreise   Once more we set out on a journey. A journey, which involved a nice and comfortable train ride, and a good dinner. I’d like to point you to a tutorial on Bird’s Cards – a super cool website with tons of free cutting files and inspiration. The tutorial is all about how to create those beautiful rolled flowers that can be used to decorate cards, scrapbooking layouts and other craft project. Mein Tagebuch: Herbst It’s beginning to look a lot like autumn. Even where I live. And since we’ve spent very little time talking about fall in our journaling café these last months, this week we get to finally do it. Take a look at the prompts and see if there’s something that might inspire a page of yours. Es fängt endlich an, nach Herbst auszusehen. Selbst da, wo ich lebe. Und da wir in den letzten Wochen hier in der Schreibstube nur sehr wenig über den Herbst geredet haben, kommen wir diese Woche nun endlich dazu. The Lights in the Hallway

 Die Lichter im Flur   This is our hallway: Das ist unser Flur:         And this is our hallway when the lights are off: Und das ist unser Flur, wenn die Lichter aus sind:         Which happens every once in a while and then you have to find your way through the darkness. Unless, of course, genius strikes you and you get the brilliant idea to try out the light switch. And then you notice, it’s not a problem with the hallway’s electricity. Just, no one before you thought of simply trying out the light switches. Of course, the big question remains: Who gets the idea to turn off all lights in the hallway? But I guess that’s a question for which we have to find the answer another day … Das passiert hier hin und wieder mal, und dann musst du halt einen Weg durch die Dunkelheit finden. Es sei denn, dich trifft ein Geistesblitz und dir kommt der brillante Gedanke, dass du vielleicht mal den Lichtschalter probieren …

Freebie Freitag: Where Blessings Fall – Teil 5   We’re moving along fast. Almost done with this collection. Today you’ll get the first part of the ellies. And then you need to come back one more time to pick up the last part of this collection. But no worries, I’m already quite inspired about the Christmas collection that is to follow after this, and you should be able to get it in time for at least some of the season. For now, however, have fun with the first half of the ellies from “Where Blessings Fall”. Es geht geschwind weiter. Damit ist diese Kollektion schon fast vollständig. Heute bekommt ihr den ersten Teil der Elemente und dann müsst ihr nur noch einmal zurückkommen, um euch auch den letzten Teil dieser Kollektion abzuholen. Aber keine Sorge, ich hab schon eine Reihe von Ideen für die Weihnachtskollektion, die hiernach kommt. Und die solltet ihr immer noch rechtzeitig zur Weihnachtszeit bekommen können.
