I scrapped another P2D page. For this one, I drew inspiration from this paper layout:

There were quite a number of things that I really liked about this page: The title, of course, totally drew me in, but I also liked the little bits and pieces everywhere, the use of patterns and papers, and the artsy little splashes of color. So I went ahead and tried to incorporate some of these features on a page of my own:

It’s not the first time that I send you to Shimelle’s blog. (I just think they’ve got awesome inspiration over there, which is never ending!) Today, I’d like to point your attention towards the sketches which they offer on that website. If you’re like me, you’re always looking for ideas to turn into a new scrapbook layout, and what’s great about Shimelle’s sketches is that you get to see their sketches with several examples and different takes. You haven’t discovered Shimelle’s sketches yet? Then why don’t you head straight over there to check it out?
Nicht zum 1. Mal schicke ich euch rüber zu Shimelle’s Blog. (Ich finde halt einfach, dass sie dort ganz tolle Inspiration haben, die ihnen auch scheinbar nie ausgeht!) Heute, jedenfalls, möchte ich eure Aufmerksamkeit mal auf ihre Entwürfe lenken, die sie dort auf der Webseite anbieten. Wenn du auch nur ein bisschen so wie ich bist, dann suchst du immer nach neuen Ideen für neue Scrapbook Layouts, und was an Shimelle’s Entwürfen toll ist, ist die Tatsache, dass du gleich ein paar praktische Beispiele mit den Entwürfen sehen kannst – und die Verschiedenartigkeit, mit der sie umgesetzt werden. What I did like about this page was the blocked design, the pops of color, little embellies here and there and the word strip, and that’s what I tried to incorporate on my own page:
