Hybrid Hub: Autumn Mini Album

Bastelecke: Herbst Minialbum   I’ve been telling you about the mini albums I’ve been working on over the last couple of months. So, I’m finally ready to start showing them to you. This one I actually started working on a year ago, but only recently did I finally get to print and cut everything to put it together. It’s a really simple one that didn’t take much time at all to put together. Ich habe euch von den Minialben erzählt, an denen ich in den letzten Monaten gearbeitet habe. Und jetzt komme ich endlich mal dazu, sie euch zu zeigen. An diesem einfachen kleinen Album habe ich schon vor einem Jahr angefangen zu arbeiten. Aber erst kürzlich habe ich es endlich mal ausgedruckt, ausgeschnitten und zusammen gesetzt. Es zu basteln hat dann auch gar nicht lange gedauert.              

Culture Week & Other Mischief

Kulturwoche und anderer Unfug   It’s Culture Week once more. (Wait, didn’t we just have culture week a year ago? Oh yeah, right! It’s an annual thing!) Anyways, with Culture Week you should always beware of strange and ominous things happening – like the kind of people walking around campus. Esp. on European Day. (I still don’t get what running into Vikings and Roman warriors has to do with modern Europe – I still have yet to meet a Viking on the streets of Europe!) But if you come to our school you certainly will make their acquaintance! And, if you only look carefully enough, you may even have a live encounter with little Mr. H. Potter. Unless, of course, you’d prefer to stay out of Harry’s trouble. Then it would be better to keep away from Culture Week and all the people it draws. Tea & Treats

 Tee & Naschwerk   I’m back home. (Remember, this was just a little weekend trip.) But I’m still enjoying the effects of the trip – one side effect being that I got a couple of treats at IKEA that I now intend to fully enjoy! If you’re from anywhere from Northern/Central Europe, North America or some place like that you probably won’t understand, but for someone like me something so little as a bag of candy from IKEA can be a very special treat indeed! Off to have some candy and chocolate! Ich bin wieder daheim. (Vergesst nicht, das war ja nur eine kleine Wochenendreise.) Aber ich genieße immer noch die Nachwirkungen dieser Reise. Eine der Nebenwirkungen davon ist, dass ich ein paar Naschereien von IKEA mitgebracht habe. Und ich bin entschlossen, sie von Herzen zu genießen! Wenn ihr natürlich irgendwo aus Mittel-/Nordeuropa, Nordamerika oder etwas Ähnlichem kommt, dann könnt ihr natürlich nicht nachvollziehen, was an einer Tüte Süßigkeiten von IKEA so besonders ist. Reisetagebuch: Eine Wochenendreise – 3. Tag   The third day of our little weekend trip has come and gone, and guess what we did today. Surprise! More shopping! Yes, well, if you live hidden away, far out in the sticks, like we do, you gotta grab that chance and make most of what you can when going on an errand trip to the big city! And so we found our way to a very crowded IKEA this time, and it’s where I decided to fill up that empty suitcase I had lugged along extra for the purpose of making the trip worth while. And it’s at IKEA where I almost had a heart attack! Because – oh broken heart of mine – they had a Christmas market there. A nice little Christmas market. (Did I ever tell you that Christmas is my favorite time of year? Well, here you have it!)
