Hybrid Hub: Card No. 6 – Hope

Recently, the weather here has been really nice – not too hot, not too cold – so I’m in the right spring mood. And there is no better thing than showing you another one of my recent spring-themed cards, I’ve made. This one is entitled “Hope” and with the large bright butterfly hope will soar to whomever this card may reach. As with my other recent cards, I created this one using one of the paper piecing patterns available for free over at scrapbooksetc.com to create the butterfly. The pretty spring-themed papers are all from Libby Pritchett’s Easter-themed release “Dye Job,” available at SSD.

Around Town: Going for Ice-Cream

Summer is almost here, and what a happy circumstance it is that several months ago a new place in town opened its doors to the public – a mixture between coffee shop, fast food restaurant, and dairy store. Some of us call it the sandwich place, but basically it’s like a nice cafe where you sit and talk, and enjoy a cup of coffee or ice cream. I admit, I love ice cream! So, with the weather getting oh so warm, every once in a while this is a nice place to stop by and get a little treat!
