Treasure Sunday: A Kiss

I’m sure this is a day with lots of memories for everyone of us. To me, September 11 always is a day full of emotions as the memories of that fateful day in 2001 flood my mind once again, and I can still feel the same horror and sadness grip me when I see the pictures – even after all those years. But: On the bright side, life is going on, and there are lots of reasons for why we should celebrate life. And the layout I chose for my treasure box collection today does just that: It celebrates the joy and love of life. “A Kiss” by UltraCoolMama Not only do I love the soft colors, the beautiful composition, all the little extras she included on this page, I’m sure you’d all agree with me that the pencil drawing of the photo makes this page stand out from the gallery right away!

Sunday Treasure: Missing Family Portrait

Oh, I’m in love with this gem that I found in the gallery: “Missing Family Portrait” by gateausoso I love the soft feel of it, the paint splatters and brush work, that butterfly and the stamps. The composition is awesome, the topic something I can quite relate to, and don’t you agree that photoless pages do have something special about them?

Treasure Sunday: Get Up

I’ve got a new favorite that I’d like to share here with you. It’s a rather simple page, but it is that simplicity that speaks to me, together with the photo, the idea of creating a book of wisdom and how everything is put together. “P52 – Book of Wisdom – Week 11” by carollee I also love the little beach cluster, how she put the date, and I’ve been studying the shadows of the little label that make it look quite real! And of course, being someone who collects quotes and proverbs, I simply had to pick this page for today.

Treasure Sunday: If You’re Gone

I found another treasure this Sunday for my treasure chest collection. “If You’re Gone” by shawnarenee31 First of all, I love the composition, the elements are beautiful, and the colors are perfectly subdued. And of course the title jumps right at you. And aren’t the photos matching this layout quite perfectly? Anyways, I hope you like this page as much as I do.

Treasure Sunday: My Bell

I think I found my next treasure, though I have to say that I almost had a fight with myself, since there were two layouts in the galleries that I really liked. But in the end, the winner is … (drum rolls please!) “My Bell” by WendyW I love her composition and shadowing, the color scheme, and how she placed her title, and aren’t the photos the cutest?

Treasure Sunday: Becoming Vegetarian

“Becoming Vegetarian” by Valoriew By posting this page today, I’m not trying to get a message across, lol, after all, though I’m not a big meat eater, I still like to enjoy it every once in a while! What caught my eye with this page, however, was its composition. I love the huge title that dominates everything, the composition, the scattered elements displaying various foods, and the position and editing of the photo. And then, isn’t the little seemingly lost date element just fun?

Treasure Sunday: New Love

Got you a new pretty page, today: “New Love” by ChantalK I love the simple design of this page. The colors are so pretty, the scattered elements, delicate brush work, great use of white space and arrangements are adorable! And don’t you think the photo is the cutest?

Treasure Sunday: Too Fast

I hope you’re all enjoying iNSD! I for sure do – have got myself some little something with a coupon, and participated in some of the challenges over at SSD. On top of that it’s Mother’s Day in many places of this world, so “Happy Mother’s Day” to all you moms! But with all the excitement going on, I don’t want to forget that it’s Treasure Sunday here at mistyhilltops.com. I already skipped last Sunday, but I have a new layout I found in the galleries for this week: “Too Fast” by Tronesia I love the cluster she created with this Mini Kit, all the leaves, flowers, and buttons. The photos are adorable, and the little wordstrips just add the perfect little extra to this place. Thanks for sharing this page with us, Tronesia!

Treasure Sunday: Happy Easter!

I’m a huge fan of white space layouts, and here is one that I found in the galleries that makes use of the white space just perfectly: Of course, it’s the perfect page for today’s occasion on top of that! I love the soft colors, the photo she chose, the beautiful clustering, and isn’t it just amazing how she arranged the title inside the two clusters? Anyhow, I wish everyone happy Easter holidays!
