Rio Marina – Pisa Today we will leave Elba, so we get up early enough to make it to Rio Marina. It’s a tiny port, and at first we don’t know how to get to the ferry dock. We discover that a tiny road leads along the marina.  Heute verlassen wir Elba. Darum geht es früh los für uns. Wir müssen nach Rio Marina, einem Städtchen mit einem kleinen Hafen. Zuerst wissen wir gar nicht, wie wir zum Fähranleger kommen sollen, bis wir erkennen, dass die winzige Straße entlang des Hafens unser Zugang ist.                       Rio Marina We get there an hour early and have time to look around a little. There’s a little sightseeing platform that allows a nice over the harbor and the sea.It’s amazing to see how the big ferries fit into the tiny harbor area.Eventually our ferry arrives, and then we have to embark backwards. Chiessi Once more, we wake to the beautiful view above the bay of Chiessi. Wieder einmal erwachen wir zu den herrlichen Aussichten über Chiessi.         Lacona Our main objective today is to take care of the camper. So, we spend the morning driving to Lacona, dumping and resupplying the van, and then using the WiFi for some time. Unser Hauptziel heute ist mal wieder die Entsorgung unseres Campers. Also verbringen wir den Morgen in Lacona, wo wir auch mal wieder Zugang zu Wifi haben.               Porto Azzurro Then we return to our previous spot near Porto Azzurro and spend the rest of the day there, sitting on the rocks and enjoying the views. Dann geht’s zurück nach Porto Azzurro, wo wir schon einmal gehalten haben. Wir verbringen den Tag dort und genießen die herrliche Umgebung.              

Pomonte We wake and make straight for the same spot where we parked our car yesterday afternoon. We’re among the first to arrive, and then spend a full day at the shores of Pomonte beach. The niece goes snorkeling around the wreck, and later we rent another pedalo. Today, however, the water is a bit choppy, so I concentrate on handling the boat while the niece dives. Gleich nach dem Aufwachen kehren wir direkt zu dem Platz zurück, wo wir gestern geparkt haben. Wir sind die ersten, die dort ankommen und verbringen den ganzen Tag am Strand von Pomonte. Die Nichte schnorchelt am Schiffswrack und wir leihen nochmals ein Tretboot.Allerdings ist das Wasser etwas unruhig, so müssen wir gut aufpassen, dass unser Boot nicht zu den Felsen getrieben wird.                                 Chiessi The night we spend once more abovethe cliffs near Chiessi. Die Nacht verbringen wir wieder über den Klippen von Chiessi.        

Lacona This morning, we have to take care of our camper van. To accomplish the dumping, we go to Lacona, where we spend a little over three hours, cleaning the van, charging power, and using the free WiFi. Heute morgen müssen wir den Camper versorgen. Das tun wir in Lacona, wo wir um die drei Stunden damit verbringen, den Wagen aufzuräumen, Strom zu laden, und das kostenlose Wifi zu nutzen.                   Pomonte After that we return to Pomonte, where the niece wants to go back to dive at the shipwreck. Anschließend geht es nach Pomonte zurück, wo die Nicht noch einmal schnorcheln möchte.             Fetovaia We end our day at a little spot outside Fetovaia. We park hidden away on a small dirt road, with more pretty views over the sea. Wir beenden den Tag an einem abgeschiedenen Ort in der Nähe von Fetovaia. Wir parken versteckt an einem Feldweg mit schöner Sicht über das Meer.             …

Magazzini We wake up to seas so calm, the water is hardly ruffled by any waves. We feel privileged to wake up right by the seaside.Soon after breakfast, we head out, and make for Capoliveri. Wir erwachen zu einem Meer, das so ruhig ist, dass sich kaum etwas regt. Wir genießen die Tatsache, direkt am Meer aufwachen zu dürfen.Gleich nach dem Frühstück brechen wir wieder mal auf. Diesmal geht’s nach Capoliveri.                       Capoliveri We park the car on the edge of town, then take a nice walk through the town’s pretty center. Wir parken das Auto am Ortsrand, und erkunden den Ort dann zu Fuß.           Porto Azzurro Our next destination is Porto Azzurro. The niece has picked a parking lot right by the water, but we end up not liking it very much. So, we quickly decide to switch locations. There’s another pretty spot right by the sea past Porto Azzuro. That’s where we decide to settle for the day. …

We wake up to glorious views, and enjoy breakfast surrounded by rolling hills, fields, and the view on typical Tuscan farm houses.After breakfast, we set out again. Our day’s destination is the the coast. Still, we get to enjoy the typical Tuscan scenery for at least another hour. From the chapel road we move on, and pass through picturesque little towns like San Quirico. Soon enough, however, we leave behind they typical Tuscan looks, and learn that Tuscany can look differently, too. Wir erwachen zu herrlichsten Aussichten und genießen das Frühstück umgeben von sanften Hügel, Feldern, und dem Blick auf typisch toskanische Landhäuser.Nach dem Frühstück geht es los in Richtung Küste. Aber für die nächste Stunde bleibt die Landschaft Bilderbuch toskanisch. Wir fahren durch eine Reihe malerischer kleiner Orte wie San Quirico.
