Traveler’s Notebook Layout: Beautiful Winter

Then I arranged the papers, Fotos, and other embellishments, and added the title. For the title I used card stock on which I’d previously watercolored. And I stamped the words. Traveler’s Notebook Layout: Fun

I’m still working with the paper pack “Winter Forest,” and I really wanted to create a design that spans the entire page, top to bottom. Because the paper is only 6×6 inches, but the page is 8 1/4 inches tall, it’s usually not possible. I dealt with this problem by creating a photo mat for the two photos, and the strip of patterned paper behind it is cut in two pieces and arranged at the top and the bottom. With my die cuts I added a bit of foliage behind the photo. The snowman I stamped on white card stock and then fussy cut it out. But the background is stamped directly on the page. The word strips were quickly added. For the title, I watercolored some white card stock, then cut the letters with one of my die cut alphas and tucked it next to the snowman. I began by cutting six squares of different sizes, and two rectangles, and roughed up the edges. I used my die cuts to cut out a label, a tag, the snowflakes, and the fern. For the title I used one of my stamp alphas and fussy cut it. And then all just needed to be arranged on the page. Ich habe sechs Quadrate von unterschiedlicher Größe ausgeschnitten und die Ränder aufgeraut. Mit Stanzen habe ich das Etikett, den Anhänger, die Schneeflocken und das Farnblatt ausgestanzt. Traveler’s Notebook Layout: Warm Wishes

To get the circles perfectly round, I used something suitable from my household, though I wasn’t going for a perfect look in terms of how I painted the circles. If they turned out a bit messy, that’s exactly what I wanted. Next, I used bubble wrap that I colored with the same shade of watercolor and then dabbed on the areas of the page where I wanted the photos to go. I added some paint splatters and a stamped the little starry motives. With my die cuts I then cut out the banner shapes from the patterned paper (“Winter Forest”) – two for each cluster. I also needed a couple of snowflakes and the label for the title. For that label I used up some of the paper on which I had previously watercolored. Last, I added the photos and finishing touches by arranging the word strips, snowflakes and other elements around the page. …
