But obviously, you can always use these card templates for any theme you like. Deutsch Diese Woche gibt’s eine Geburtstagskarte. Aber wie immer könnt ihr diese Vorlage natürlich auch für jedes andere Thema verwenden. Tip: If you don’t own a cutting machine, or don’t want to cut with a machine, you can easily turn the template into a print template. In Silhouette Studio (or your equivalent software), just set the outline to a value thicker than 0. (In Silhouette Studio an outline with a value of 0 doesn’t print.) 0.25 thickness works just fine. To save color ink, change the line color to black. Then remove the fill color, rearrange everything on your page so nothing overlaps. Print, on simple copy paper, cut out each piece, and voila! I picked a paper that symbolizes time with the clock. And the butterfly flies. DeutschHier kommt die nächste Karte. Diesmal gibt es eine Geburtstagskarte, mit dem Thema: Zeit verfliegt. Dafür habe ich ein Papier gewählt, das dank der Uhren Zeit symbolisiert. Und Schmetterlinge fliegen natürlich. Since I was working with origami paper, it wasn’t ideal for gluing. But I loved how the papers coordinate and wanted to work with them anyway. Offengestanden war das Papier, das ich verwendet habe nicht bestens für ein solches Projekt geeignet, da es eigentlich Origamipapier ist. A Reason to Celebrate

Ein Grund zum Feiern   We had reason to celebrate the other day. It was one of my sisters’ birthday. Hers is a summer birthday and the weather was doing its part to make this a wonderful day. She’d invited friends and family and we ate and talked and were thankful that we have such a wonderful reason to celebrate: Happy birthday, dearest sister! Wir hatten mal wieder Grund zum Feiern. Es war der Geburtstag meiner Schwester. Sie hat ja stets im Sommer Geburtstag und das Wetter wie immer bestens mitgespielt. Sie hatte Freunde und Familie eingeladen und wir assen und redeten und waren dankbar, dass wir solch einen wundervollen Grund zum Feiern haben: Alles Gute, liebste Schwester!            

A Fast & Furious Birthday

Ein furioser Geburtstag   It’s time to celebrate a birthday in our family. And since this was all about a guy, and since the guy loves to be fast and furious whenever it comes to cars and driving, it had to be a fast and furious birthday. Bei uns in der Familie ist es an der Zeit, Geburtstag zu feiern.
