Here are two more layouts from the Album: One Day in Summer.

For the first page I used my die cuts and stamps to create the embellishments and cut out the scalloped border, circle and other shapes.

The flower on the left, I stamped with a layered stamp. For the flower on the right I used watercolored paper to die cut it from.

Hier sind zwei weitere Seiten meines Albums: Ein Sommertag.

Für die erste Seite habe ich meine Stanzen und Stempel verwendet, um die Dekoelemente zu erstellen, und die Bordüre, Kreise und anderen Elemente zu stanzen.

Die Blume links habe ich mit einem mehrlagigen Stempelset gestempelt. Für die Blume rechts habe ich mit Wasserfarben bemaltes Papier verwendet.

For the second page I just cut various rectangles with my trimmer, then die cut that bunting, and the tree.

Add a few word bits, and the page is done.

Für die zweite Seite habe ich verschiedene Rechtecke mit meinem Trimmer geschnitten, und das Banner und die Tanne ausgestanzt.

Noch ein paar Wortstreifen hinzugefügt, und die Seite ist fertig.

I have two more pages to share with you.

The first one was done mainly with die cuts, and the word bits that I created, printed, and then die cut as well.

Ich habe zwei weitere Seiten für euch.

Die erste Seite besteht hauptsächlich aus gestanzten Elementen und den Wortteilen, die ich zusammengestellt, gedruckt und dann ebenfalls gestanzt habe.

For the second page I used one of my hexagon die cuts to cut shapes from many of the papers that come with the pack Florals by Craft Sensations. Then I arranged them around the page together with all the other parts. Those include a die cut backpack, a flower that I stamped, colored, and fussy cut, and more word bits..

Für die zweite Seite habe ich eine meiner Hexagonstanzen verwendet, und von den verschiedenen Papieren im Block Florals von Craft Sensations die Form ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich alles mit den anderen Elementen zusammen angeordnet. Die anderen Elemente beinhalten den gestanzten Rucksack, die gestempelte Blume, die ich ausgemalt und ausgeschnitten habe, sowie mehr Worte.

Traveler’s Notebook Layout: Drink in Fresh Air

Yesterday I began sharing the pages of another traveler’s notebook, in which I scrapped about one day in the summer of 2020 when my sister took me on a little outing – first a little hike to the Black Forest, then to a castle in the Rhine river valley, the name of which I forgot.

The pages of this album document that day. I used two paper pads by Craft Sensations. And the one used on these pages is called Florals. But as these paper pads doesn’t come with ephemera, I had to create all embellishments myself for each page.

On the first layout, I’m using a layered stamp for which different shades of the same color ink are used to get a beautiful rose.

Gestern habe ich angefangen, die Seiten eines weiteren Traveler’s Notebooks zu teilen, in dem ich einen Tag im Sommer 2020 festgehalten habe. Meine Schwester hat mich zu einem Ausflug in den Schwarzwald mitgenommen – zuerst eine kleine Wanderung im Schwarzwald, dann in einen Schloßpark im Rheintal.

Das Album dokumentiert diesen Tag. Ich habe zwei Designpapierblöcke von Craft Sensations verwendet. Das welches ihr hier seht heißt schlicht: Florals. Diese Blöcke sind günstig bei Action zu haben, kommen aber ohne jegliches Zubehör, weshalb ich alle weiteren dekorativen Elemente selbst kreieren muss.

Im ersten Layout benutze ich einen mehrlagigen Stempel, bei dem ich verschiedene Töne derselben Farbe verwende.

For the next page, I really wanted that beautiful paper to get the center stage, along with the photo. So, I kept embellishments to a minimum, and only used a stamp that I fussy cut.

Bei der nächsten Seite wollte ich dem herrlichen Papier viel Raum geben, zur Geltung zu kommen. Zusammen mit dem Foto. Darum habe ich nur minimal dekorative Elemente verwendet – ein Stempelmotiv, das ich dann ausschnitt.

Quiet Campus | Stiller Campus

Campus is still very much deserted these days, and that is strange. At this point, the campus should be teeming with students that are returning from their summer break. Instead, the school has decided to postpone the return of the students, which throws everyone’s schedule into turmoil, and requires students and teachers to make up missed classes on the Saturday and Sunday of the next weekend. I’m just glad that the students I teach won’t start their classes until a couple of weeks from now.

Der Campus liegt immer noch ganz verlassen da, obwohl er eigentlich von Studenten wimmeln müsste, die von ihren Sommerferien zurückkehren. Stattdessen hat die Schule entschieden, dass die Rückkehr der Studenten verschoben werden soll, was jedermann’s Stundenplan in ein großes Tohuwabohu stürzt. Aufgeschoben bedeutet hier nämlich meistens Unterricht am folgenden Samstag und Sonntag nachholen. Ich bin einfach froh, dass mein Unterricht erst in ein paar Wochen anfängt.
