Traveler’s Notebook Layout: Live Happy

I just cut rectangles of various sizes from my patterned papers, then arranged them around the photo. I added the die cut heart bunting as well as the stamped flower, which is stamped with several layers. For the title I die cut small rectangles to stamp the individual letters of the word “live.” Then from my stamp set stash I stamped the word “happy” on pink cardstock and fussy cut that out. Traveler’s Notebook: See the Sights

I changed the paper collection, which is an unnamed design pad from Tedi (a store in Germany). For this layout, I cut a couple of rectangles. I also stamped the pretty flowers (two layers – filling and outline), and used the coordinating die cut. Then I arranged everything in two clusters. The title I partially stamped, and used a die cut alpha set for the big word. DeutschFür mein Sommertag Album habe ich die Gangart geändert und die Papierkollektion geändert. Das Papier für diese Seite kommt von einem unbenannten Designblock von Tedi. Für dieses Layout habe ich ein paar Rechtecke ausgeschnitten. For the first page, I really wanted to use the beautiful floral paper in a way that it would get attention. So I put a strip down the right side. Then I stamped the flower, die cut it together with the leaves, colored it, and added that with the other pieces. I also stamped a doily on the background. The hearts I die cut, and I used two strips of washi tape. For the first page I used my die cuts and stamps to create the embellishments and cut out the scalloped border, circle and other shapes. The flower on the left, I stamped with a layered stamp. For the flower on the right I used watercolored paper to die cut it from. DeutschHier sind zwei weitere Seiten meines Albums: Ein Sommertag. Für die erste Seite habe ich meine Stanzen und Stempel verwendet, um die Dekoelemente zu erstellen, und die Bordüre, Kreise und anderen Elemente zu stanzen. The first one was done mainly with die cuts, and the word bits that I created, printed, and then die cut as well. DeutschIch habe zwei weitere Seiten für euch. The pages of this album document that day. I used two paper pads by Craft Sensations. And the one used on these pages is called Florals. But as these paper pads doesn’t come with ephemera, I had to create all embellishments myself for each page. On the first layout, I’m using a layered stamp for which different shades of the same color ink are used to get a beautiful rose. I spent recent weeks reminding you of some of the previous freebies, so make sure you check those out, if you’re new to Misty Hilltops. This week’s Freebie is dedicated to my mom (as she was the inspiration for this), and it’s a PDF with word strips for any kind of gardening and nature project. It comes in a German and an English version. Simply print the file on card stock, sticker paper or other material, then use your trimmer to cut the words apart (or cut by hand). Tip: If using a trimmer, it’s easier to cut each row one by one, rather than picking rows from the middle, and ending up with several thinner strips that still need cutting and are much more difficult to align and trim. Behind it all I placed a die cut circle and another paper strip, and the wintery word strips that I’ve been using. These word strips will soon become available as freebie.
