December Daily 2012: Final Wrap Up

December 2012 is over – and to be honest, I’m glad I’m done with the December Daily this year. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing it because if nothing else, it helps me live the season very consciously and make the most of every day, but I’m glad I don’t have to try and keep up with a page for every day anymore. I still have two more pages I need to show you, and soon I’ll be ready to share with you the finished project.   See my other weekly recaps here: Week 5 Week 4 Week 3 Week 2 Week 1

Freebie Friday: A Cozy Christmas – Part 3

Time for the next installment of my digital scrapbook kit “A Cozy Christmas.” Today you’ll get the second set of papers. I hope the link works properly for you (believe me, I do pay attention to set it up right the first time, but you never know what mischief maker may get in the way, right 😉  ). So, that’s it for this week. Don’t forget to come back next week for the first set of elements, and if you’ve missed the earlier parts of this kit, you can still grab them by finding the earlier posts tagged “freebie.” Don’t forget that everything under the copyright of Misty Hilltops Designs, so proper accreditation is required if you want to use this product. Happy Friday, scrappers!

Calendar 2013

2013 is well on its way, and of course it’s way too late talking about creating calendars. But I have my wall calendar that I created some time back using Cindy Schneider’s calendar templates. And today would be a good opportunity to show you what I did for my calendar. I made different versions – German and English, switched out photos etc. and had them printed, and I think they make awesome presents. Just take a look …

Enable Me: Project Life

Alright, friends. Let’s start off this year with some inspiration. And since it’s the beginning of the year, we can’t avoid talking about Project Life. If you’ve been around any of the major digiscrap forums, it’s all too prominent – Project Life is everywhere. At least at my favorite store, the designers are whipping products for the use of PL like crazy, and if you take a look at the gallery at SSD, it seems like everyone is intent on doing it this year. It seems. I for one, will not embark on that journey. Not because I don’t like PL. On the contrary. But I know myself too well. And I know that 2013 is probably going to be the busiest year of my life (because I’m approaching the end of my postgraduate studies which means I’ve got major projects to work on). So, I’ve decided that I’m not going to add another project to my busy schedule. But that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about PL here in my little Digiscrap Corner. So, …

Happy New Year

Happy new year to all my digiscrap friends! Thanks to all those of you who have been sticking around with me for a while, and welcome to anyone who just recently found out about mistyhilltops.com. While this year is going to be extremely busy with my studies etc. (especially probably toward the latter half of it anyway), I do have a couple of fun posts lined up already aside from planning a new winter freebie kit and sharing lots of inspiration. And of course, I can’t wait for my new blog to be up and running (only waiting for that busy sister of mine to help me with a couple of little tweaks). Sooo … I hope you’ll be checking in every once in a while, and to all of you I wish that 2013 will be a successful year to be looked back to with pleasure.

Journaling CafĂŠ: Year's End

Whaa, the end of the year has snuck up on me without even giving me much time to think about it. So, it’s about time to do some end-of-the-year reflections. I find that thinking about the good and the bad of the past year helps in formulating those new resolutions at the beginning of each year which can give our lives purpose and direction. I, therefore, present to you the last journaling prompt of 2012: And here’s my page, showing some of the highlights this past year:

Merry Christmas

Since it’s Christmas and all, these days, I thought I’d take today (and the next two days) off from talking about digi-scrapping. But I’m not going to abandon you for a couple of days without wishing all of you a very merry Christmas. And I want to thank you for stopping by my little corner and taking the time to visit me this way. Knowing how many of you are checking out what’s new at mistyhilltops.com every day has made blogging a fun, rewarding and worth-while experience for me over the last two years. Thanks to all of you, and happy holidays!
