Culture Week – Here We Go Again …
If I’m not mistaken, culture week was the content of one of my first blog posts ever. And now, I’m into the blogging journey for three years already, and here goes culture week again.
To be honest, there isn’t much new to be said about culture week. But, it is a big event at our school, so I can’t just not blog about it.
So, maybe I might note that it’s interesting how the first day is always “prepared” by our domestic faculty, who don’t end up preparing anything at all because they have local workshops present local art and design projects (basically turning our main square into a big fair). So, it’s only the foreign community (faculty and students) who usually go berserk about getting ready for culture week and preparing yet another event that’s bigger and better than ever. We’ll see the results later this week. But for now, I have some pics from today that I can share …

Journaling Café: Events
Events … they are so much part of our lives that we always talk about them. But have you ever taken the time to think about the topic of “events”? Well, if not, today’s your chance to do so. Take a look at our prompts today:
And here’s a page about a current event in my life:
On a side note: I pretty much finished my next freebie kit these last few days. (Promised I’d work on it this weekend, and didn’t want to let you down; it’s all complete, except for one little decorative element that I’d like to add, but I’m still waiting for a photo from my mom, so let’s hope the weather in Germany will be good enough soon so she can take a decent picture of it for me to extract – my mom has all those cutsie little decorations that I wish we could get here but simply can’t, lol). At any rate, the new kit is all Christmassy (= perfect for December Daily projects), jam-packed with goodies (I can’t help myself, I love Christmas and ended up putting more stuff into the kit than I originally planned to), and even without the little element you’ll already get more than you’ll usually get with my kits lately; and if I may add this little teaser: this new kit is probably one of my favorite kits I ever designed …
Have I made you curious? I hope I have. But you’ll have to be patient a little longer til I can get you a first glimpse. The preview isn’t done yet (still waiting for that photo, if it’ll come at all), but I’ll be starting to share this kit with you starting next week Friday. This coming Friday, I have something fun for all those Silhouette owners among you. So, stay tuned, because I’m thrilled with what’s to come …

P2D: Week 43
It’s Saturday, which means it’s time to share another paper to divi project. For this week’s post, I found this layout:
Well, actually, in all reality, this is a card someone made (yep, I noticed before I started). But I so loved the overall composition that I thought it would make a lovely scrapbooking layout as well. What I particularly liked was the lace strip across the page, the banner shapes used to add extra interest, the framed sentiment, that lovely big cluster. And it’s those things which I tried to incorporate on a page of my own, for which I used Traci Reed’s brandnew kit “True Stories” coming to the store this weekend …

Freebie Friday: Harvest of Happiness – Part 5
Here comes the last part of this freebie kit “Harvest of Happiness,” so now you actually get to play with it, and I’d love to see what you do with this kit.
Now, please consider that my Terms of Use only permit to use any contents of this kit for your personal scrapping needs (Personal Use), which means that if you’d like to share this with others, you may only do so by sending them to this website (no direct linking, or sharing of any parts).
And now it’s time to announce that I have a little surprise coming for those (silhouette) crafters among you next week. (Have had this freebie ready for you for a month now, and it’s been patiently awaiting its time to get shared!) I’ll not say any more, but don’t miss out on that freebie. And I’m planning on working on a Christmas kit this weekend, which I’ll probably start sharing with you here two weeks from now, so stay tuned and don’t forget to come back for more freebies.
Here’s a preview of all freebie kits that are currently available here at mistyhilltops.com:
Hybrid Hub: Card #71
I’ve already begun making my annual Christmas cards (last year, though I sent them in November, they only arrived in February, so I figure I’m late already this year). At any rate, four cards are finished, and I’m going to show present them here in a little while. But first, I’d like to share another generic card with you:
For this one, I cut three square pieces, underlaid them with a mat, and I printed the sentiment on the card base. I added a ribbon, adhered everything to the base, and finished was yet another pretty little something.
