Today we celebrated Africa and Latin America Day. We were glad to see that the hut that was built last year still exists, and again it serves multiple purposes. For the students it’s a popular prop for picture taking. Costumes and masks were offered to put on for the photo shoot, and few students passed the chance for another great picture opportunity!
I had fun watching the soccer competition. After all, Africa and Latin America are pretty big on soccer. So, the students had to navigate the ball across an obstacle field and then hit a target! Many balls, though, missed the target by far and probably quite some people faced a big surprise when suddenly a ball came out of nowhere! Well, again, Culture Week never has anyone bored!
actually they built it again. This is their 3rd time to make a grass hut – by now all I have to do is show them a sketch and they say, “oh, we know.”
