Document Christmas (Or: December Daily) – 2016

Dokumentiere Weihnachten (oder: December Daily) 2016 Whaaa! It’s that time of year again, to get going on that Christmas album. I’ve been doing it for six years now (I think) and it’s always such a wonderful experience. Of course, as usual, I’m kind of late with starting to talk about it here just now, but then, we still have about two weeks to go until December. For my part, I’ve decided to go all digital again this year. Did an all out hybrid album last year, which turned out beautiful (and I’m going to share the details with you on Thursday in my hybrid post, since I never shared any of it with you last year). But since I’m too busy for doing a hybrid album this year, I’m glad I do have the digital alternative, which does go a lot faster. For those of you who have never done a Christmas album, or are looking for more ideas or inspiration, check out my post from two years ago, titled “Document Christmas – 5 Good Reasons …

Freebie Friday: Autumn Song – Part 6

Freebie Freitag: Autumn Song – Teil 6 Ladies, I’m so sorry I totally forgot to post part 6. Now, it’s pretty much a year later, when you finally get it. First off: I year ago, I actually lost, not one, but two hard drives. Both of them together pretty much contained my whole life. Fortunately enough, I had a lot of stuff backed up, so over time I was able to retrieve some of it. But I lost a good portion of my “designing toolbox.” Needless to say: it was so frustrating that I haven’t been motivated to do much in my Digiscrap Corner. Adding to that the fact that this last year life has been crazy busy for me, there simply wasn’t time to work on any new freebies to share here. But at least I should share with you the last part of this collection. And I do apologize for neglecting you all for so long. The good news: I have a couple of things that I had finished already before the crash that I …

Lobby Disasters

Eingangshallenkatastrophen   It’s been a while, but I decided to try another blog post again. Because I actually like blogging. Because I haven’t been around here to say “Hi!” in like forever. Because I actually have a couple of spare minutes, for one. And because of the disaster that is worthwhile sharing with you here today. I call it the lobby disaster, even though it didn’t even start in our lobby. It actually started in our dining hall. Right during lunch time. A murky brown liquid came streaming into our dining hall, and while we were waiting in the lunch line, we were all wondering what the substance was. Sewer stuff? It didn’t smell like it. But it definitely didn’t look like anything I want to get close to. While I was hurrying to finish up my lunch before the stuff would reach the spot where I was sitting, I didn’t even have a clue that what we were seeing in the dining hall was just the tip of the iceberg. Sure, someone had mentioned …
