Enable Me: Papercraft Inspirations

Are you someone who likes getting free stuff? Well, then I might have something for you today. There’s this website “Papercraft Inspirations” that comes not only with a ton of inspiration, but also with lots of free (and actually fun and awesome) printables (usually papers and ellies you can cut, ready on sheets). You need a little more persuasion? Then why don’t you go hop on over there to check and see, if this is something for you …

The Weekly Visit

Did I tell you I had a problem with a leak in my bathroom? Of course I did! Has anything been solved yet? Nope. As a matter of fact, I’ve started to insist on having workers come to fix it on a weekly basis, and so they keep coming. But very time they send different people. And of course, these people come without tools because they say that they first need to inspect the problem (how many times does someone need to inspect an obvious leak to realize that it is a problem?) As a matter of fact, I’ve gotten used to all the nothings that are happening, tragically used to it! Though, sometimes I do get frustrated, too! Really frustrated. And I’m sorry to say that it’s the poor workers who have to suffer my temper when this whole procrastinating thing actually gets to me a bit too much! Let’s hope for better days!

Journaling Café: Learning

For some of us, the end of the school year is near, and that means, it’s a good time to think and reflect a little on what we’ve been learning. It’s also a great time to think about things you learned in the past as well as considering what you would like to learn in the future. Of course, I had to put together a page of my own, with some little reflection, and here’s the result:     Now, it’s your turn writing (and scrapping, if you like).   Products used: Font for prompt: DJB Squirrels in My Pants by Darcy Baldwin Be Tru 2 Ur School by Traci Reed DJB I Love Me Some Aly by Darcy Baldwin

The Promise

I have a problem. A wet, moldy, leak problem. In my bathroom. You may remember. Well, for about two months now I’m trying to have my problem fixed. But the problem is that no one cares about my problem. At least not enough to actually do anything about it, even though I’m trying almost weekly to get someone to take care of this. And so it happened that last week, before the May holiday, I had yet another group of workers inspect the problem. And they promised me that after the May holiday, that would be on May 2nd, they’d come back to fix things. Like they always promise. And like they never fix it. And so it happened that May 2nd has come. As well as May 3rd, and May 4th, and still there’s no fixing in sight. My poor poor little bathroom!

P2D: Road Trip

I love finding ideas from other scrappers and using their layouts as inspiration for my own. This following layout is such an example. I found this intriguing page on Daphne Wünn-Rihm’s website:   Not only did I dig the composition, but I totally fell in love with the idea of stitching the silhouette of a city onto the page. So, using Mommyish’s Stitching actions and finding a simple outline of Paris online, I quickly recreated a page featuring just these things, while at the same time preserving my own style of scrapping (clustering). And look how my own page turned out:   There you have it. The kit I used, by the way, is “Leaving on a Jet Plane by Kristin Cronin-Barrow & Shawna Clingerman, available at sweetshoppedesigns.com.

An Airport Tradition

It’s a tradition already. Every year, I take students and friends on a little bike trip to the airport. Of course, I have to explain to them – as none of them has ever traveled by plane – that going to the airport building (otherwise known as terminal) is far from exciting, and that the real adventure waits out there on one of the fields at the end of the runway. Unquestionably, they enjoy the little excursion immensely, and I? I get to have a sunburn (on a not sunny day – or does it look like the sun is out on the pictures?) and a lot of extra exercise. (And I had the benefit of getting my bike cleaned, after it had collected dust for several months over the winter).   Starting out from the school gate. We’ve arrived. First glimpses. Waiting for the planes to come in. And there is one!

Freebie Friday: Breath of Fresh Air, Part 5

Woot! I’m excited to share with you the last and final part of my freebie digital scrapbooking kit “Breath of Fresh Air.” Today, you’ll get the second parts of the elements, which means you’ll be all set to go and play with this. And maybe you could leave a link to your uploaded layouts in the comments, because I always love to see what you create with the kits I share. As always, my terms of use apply, which means you may only use this product for your personal scrapping. Now, I hope you’ll be able to create a couple of fun pages with this. And before I leave you to your scrapping, I’m excited to share with you a first glimpse of the kit that I’ll begin sharing with you next week: I called it “Summer Morning” because of the fresh and light feel to it. So, if you like it, don’t forget to come back next week, to start collecting the parts to this kit! And, of course, you could always point other …
