Treasure Sunday: Gardener

I found my perfect gem again: “Gardener” by Jasy1983 I love the water (color) stain which pulls all the elements of this composition together. The photo, of course, is super cute, the clustering around it is stunning, and isn’t the painted title behind the journaling so much fun? (And note the tiny flower near the date component – too adorable!)

Treasure Sunday: Happy First Birthday

I’m in awe. That is, I’ve been in awe ever since I discovered this beauty in the gallery. Yes, I’m going a little different today and want to show you a hybrid project – a birthday card. “Happy First Birthday” by Geordie Girl Of course, I love Libby’s kit “And Your Bird Can Sing” that she used for this card. But that’s not it. The Hanglar Stanglar stamp girl, besides, is what immediately caught my eye, but that’s not it. The predominant combination of red and white is lovely with this card. But that’s not it. The red and white ribbons make this card so special. But that’s not it. It’s everything together which makes this birthday card a real gem in my treasure chest! Wouldn’t you agree?

Treasure Sunday: E-mote-ometer

Finding this week’s treasure wasn’t hard at all, since I kept stumbling across some pretty gems out there. But as soon as I saw this layout, I knew I would be adding it to my treasure chest today: “E-mote-ometer” by susieq2u First, I love the concept of this page, and its entire idea! Look at the legend – isn’t it so much fun? Next, the shabbiness, grunginess, messiness of this page caught my eye. I love all the paint splats and torn up stitches. And aren’t her photos the greatest?

Treasure Sunday: Always with you

I found it! My gem of the week. It’s … “Always with you” by altalena First of all, I love the dark background with the light border around it. Next, I totally dig the subtle journaling in the background, and the flowers and splashes of yellow popping brightly off the dark background. But of course, it’s the title that stands out the most! Isn’t it amazing how she clipped her photos and papers to the letters, and focuses all your attention right there?

Treasure Sunday: You Are My Sunshine

I am fascinated! Found this gem in the galleries, and it definitely deserves some spotlighting here: “[sunshine]” by janyellemayara I am fascinated, especially because she dares to work with such bold, big patterns, letters, and elements, and still keeps a perfect balance between layout and photos. Her photo editing works beautifully with the color palette of this page, and aren’t those pictures adorable?

Treasure Sunday: Little Miss Shopaholic

A couple of days I stumbled upon a gem over at the Sweetshoppe blog. It immediately caught my eye, and since Aggie has been one of my favorite scrappers for a long time, and she has an awesome gallery, it’s about time that I picked one of her pages. “Little Miss Shopaholic” by Aggie Aviso First of all, it’s her composition that is a feast for the eye. I love her choice of papers, colors, elements, and how everything is placed on the page so perfectly – all the little clusters, pieces of wordart, and isn’t the little banner at the top just the cutest?

Treasure Spotting: You Have My Heart

As usual, it isn’t hard at all to find a beautiful gem in the galleries as they are full of treasures. So, today I want to show you … “You Have My Heart” by Zwyck Did I ever tell you I have a weakness for paint strokes and brushes on a digiscrap page? Well, here it is. Another layout with just that feature! I love how the paint stroke here is blended with different shades of red (and white, of course). The composition is beautiful. The way the photo was edited perfectly matches the color palette, and besides, it is an adorable picture. And aren’t those pops of green and red perfect for this page? Thanks zwyck, for sharing this beautiful page with us!

Treasure Spotting: Soccer Champs

I fell in love again – with yet another gallery treasure: “Soccer Champs” by Darla Vasquez I had narrowed things down to several layouts, but this one just struck me the most. Not only do I love Darla’s job with the shadows here, but I also think her composition is striking, the scattered stars are too cute, and that paint stroke on which she did the journaling – isn’t that the greatest idea of all?

Treasure Sunday: Snowkissed

I went on another treasure hunt, and found this gem today: “Snowkissed” by kathleena I’m amazed at her composition – the use of the patterned background – and still, it does not at all distract the focus from the photo and cluster. I don’t think I even have to mention her cluster – its beauty and arrangement speaks all for itself. And aren’t her shadows most stunning?
