Projekt Leben – Woche 17 & 18 Since I started up the Tutorial Tuesday (Behind the Scenes) again, I decided to push my PL posts back to the weekend. So, since I haven’t shown you anything PL related this week, I’d better get going with presenting you my next couple of pages. (And then I guess, I’d better start working on my next spreads, or else I’ll soon run out of showcases – yup, I’m still hopelessly behind schedule and don’t even feel guilty about it!) And btw, I’m excited to see that after the long break this last spring, the number of visitors to mistyhilltops.com is slowly picking up again. Freebie Freitag: Be My Anchor – Teil 3 Hey peeps! Did you notice my new header over at my home page? I redid the images (and added a couple of new ones) using almost exclusively the various freebie kits I designed over the last 1 1/2 years. I thought, if I have them sitting on my hard drive, I might as well scrap with them and actually show a bit of what you could do with them. Bastelecke: Das Beste vom Sommer 2013 – Minialbum   So, today I have something really new, and I’m kind of excited about this. First off, I want to share a little mini album that I made almost a year ago, about my summer faves. But what’s so special about this is that I actually made a little video clip to show you the project. The reason why I hesitated to post it for such a long time – well, for one, I never got around to take pics of it; and for another it got soaked by water last winter (which was a real bummer for me) and totally ruined the last couple of pages. Hinter den Kulissen: Mit gemusterten Papieren arbeiten   Hey friends. After a long break I decided to start up my tutorial posts again. I’ve got a long list of things to talk about; now all I need is find the time to actually write up those tutorials.   Hallo Freunde. Nach einer langen Pause habe ich mich entschlossen, wieder damit anzufangen Scrapbook Anleitungen zu schreiben. Ich habe eine lange Liste von Dingen, über die ich sprechen möchte; jetzt muss ich nur noch die Zeit finden, diese Anleitungen zu schreiben.   Today I’d like to start simply by talking about patterned papers. While we love patterned papers (for me it’s one of the things that got me hooked on scrapbooking), some of us – especially those white space scrappers among us – can get quite intimidated to use patterned papers on the background. If anything, because it can make a page look really busy and might detract from the focal point of the page. I especially struggle with the journaling part when working with patterned backgrounds …
