P2D: QQ Candy

I found myself another source of inspiration for my scrapbook pages. I found this page at http://www.jbsmercantile.com, a website full of inspiration and fun layouts, so you might want to check it out if you’ve never heard of it. Anyhow, what intrigued me about this page was the composition and the use of patterned papers and stitches, and you’ll find that these are the aspects I’ve tried to maintain when I worked on my own version. Take a look at the end result:

Freebie Friday: A Tender Love – Part 1

We’re there! It’s Friday, and for you that means more stuff to collect from MistyHilltops.com. And this week’s especially exciting, because we’re ready to launch a new kit: A Tender Love. You’ll love the soft spring colors and the rainbow of varying papers and elements. “A Tender Love” comes with 26 papers again, and over 70 elements … a full digital scrapbook kit for which you’d be paying precious bucks elsewhere, but here you’ll get it for free: Today, we’ll start with the alpha pack, which includes three complete upper and lower case letters and special characters, and of course, next week you’ll get the next part, so don’t forget to come back to pick up the whole kit. Also, former freebie kits are still available for download, so if you’re new to MistyHilltops.com you may want to pick up those as well. And of course, I’d love it, if you could spread the word, so more people can enjoy these free products. As always, my Terms of Use apply (see right). Now, don’t forget …

Hybrid Hub: Stampin’ Up

So, my sister got herself hooked up lately with this awesome stuff from Stampin Up, and it makes me wish that I had a way of getting that stuff to my part of the world … so I could get my hands dirty with all this fun actual paper stuff she’s been doing. Here are just a few of the projects she’s been working on lately.

Inspire Me: Shimelle

I mentioned it last Saturday already, but one website with tons of amazing inspiration is “pretty paper.true stories” by Shimelle. Shimelle is one of the great paper scrappers out there, but you can find a lot of stuff that will help you work on your digital pages as well. She’s got great style, a wealth of knowledge, and it’s certainly a place you would want to keep sticking around for …

Journaling Café: My Day

Today, in the Journaling Café we’ll be focusing on our daily routine. Project Life being all the rage at the moment, it is about recording what seems to be neglected in our memory keeping so much: the mundane, the simple life. Take a look at today’s journaling prompts, and see if any of these could inspire you to put some of your thoughts to paper …   Of course, I gave myself the task of recording something very mundane, and here’s how my page turned out …

P2D: Reading Again

I have another great source of inspiration for you (though some of you may know about Shimelle already, of course). But if you’re someone who doesn’t go there all too often, or someone who is always looking for more inspiration, you don’t need to look any further … for now. Take a look at this fun paper layout: What really caught my eye about it was the fun boldly patterned papers, which were used on this layout, and so when I was doing my own page, I looked for the same … a combination of bold patterns and bright colors. So, here’s my page …
