P2D: Autumn At Its Best

Back to some paper to digi inspiration. I found this traditional page in one of the galleries:   … and immediately it inspired me to try and turn it into a digital page. What I loved about this page is how it so beautifully showcased the papers, some of them – as you see – quite boldly patterned, and yet, overall this page has such a clean and simple look and design. So, I went through my digistash to find something suitable, and here’s my take on this page …

P2D: Christmas Cheer

I decided to switch things up a bit. Since I’m posting my December Daily project every Saturday (during December), I’m going to share another paper to digi project with you today. I found this paper layout a while back: Basically, I love everything about this page. So I wanted to try my hand on it digitally. I loved all the tags, the scattered elements, and the journaling around the center piece. So, I went ahead, and created my own page, using various tags and tag-overlays and what not, and here’s how it turned out: If you haven’t tried your hand at P2D yet, I highly recommend it! It’s just a whole lot of fun!

P2D: Fall Frolic

I love turning traditional layouts into digital scrapbooking pages. Not only do I love the inspiration I can find in the traditional galleries, but I also love the challenge of creating a digital page and making it look as realistic as possible. For today’s sample, I got inspired by this sketch, released by pagemaps.com: Here’s their sample page by a person called Lynn Reany: And here’s my take on that sketch: Now, who says that traditional scrapbooking sketches aren’t as useful for us digiscrappers as they are for the traditional scrappers?

P2D: Fall Fun

I found a new paper layout that got me inspired to create a new digiscrap version. Here’s “Feel the Wind” by Azumi: What caught my eye with this page was the playful composition around the photo, the paper pieces, and word art, and of course how she framed the part of the photo she wanted to emphasize. So, I took this layout and turned it into this … And if you are into P2D (paper 2 digi), then you should check out Azumi’s gallery, because it’s full of layouts that are a great inspiration for any digital layout.

P2D: Quietude

I want to show you another Paper to Digi sample. For this one, I used teapot2angel’s “She” … … and turned it into a digital layout: I loved the various paper pieces about the traditional scrapbook page, and the overall composition worked really well for a digital page, in my opinion. Anyways, if you haven’t tried your hand at P2D yet, don’t miss out on all the fun and inspiration that is out there!

P2D & Lot’s of Fun in Digi-Land

I got inspired again. This time by this page, titled “Anticipation” by  jbarksdale. I loved the centered mat about this page, and the fun embellishment strip through the middle. So I tried my hand on this, and here’s how my page turned out: Make sure to check out jbarksdale’s other layouts, because her gallery is full of fun and inspirational pages. And if you’re only remotely connected to digiscrapping, you’re probably aware of all the craziness going on in digiland, because of Digital Scrapbook Day (DSD). So, make sure to check out the stores, coz there are sales and giveaways going on everywhere. A few activities going on this weekend, I’d like to point out to you: Blog Trains Make sure to check out these blog trains, because they have some really pretty stuff to give away: DSD Blog Train MScraps Blog Train 1 ZigZagScrap Blog Train I’m not going to point you to every store in digiland that I’m aware of, but I’m going to point out that some stores offer collaboration kits free …

P2D: Pause

Here’s a new sample for my Paper to Digi series. I took a layout by teapot2angel at 2 Peas and gave my own twist to it. Here’s the original: And here’s what I did with this: Finding inspiration in the paper scrapping world is so much fun, and if you haven’t tried it, you might want to check out teapot2angel’s gallery.

P2D: When Fall Is Coming Early

I have another paper to digi sample for you today. I already showed you the page that inspired you in another post (I did a hybrid scraplift of it). This time, I spun the page around, and lifted it that way. Here’s once more: “Good Reader”. And here’s my digital page I created with this inspiration: Now it’s time for you to try your hand at scraplifting some paper layouts!

P2D Inspiration: Getting There

New Saturday, new P2D inspiration. Today, I’d like to show you a page, for which I used to traditional paper layouts as inspiration. What caught my eye with “City Girl,” was the background paper – showing a city map (similar – or maybe the same papers – are available at Designer Digitals), and the overall composition. From the second page, I took the road sign, ticket border, and the journaling strips. Now, for my page, I didn’t have any map background; but I figured out a perfect solution. My China Lonely Planet has lots of simplified black and white maps. I simply scanned in one page with the Shanghai map, played a bit with various blending modes, and there: I had the perfect solution, and a pretty cool map background. Worked for me! Here, I’ll show you my page, too:
