P2D: United

Paper 2 digi can actually be an exciting adventure. Usually, I love the way those pages turn out for which I found inspiration in the traditional paper scrapping world. Like the page I want to share with you today. Take a look at this gorgeous traditional paper layout by Maska, which I found on the website ColorConspiracy.   I totally love the spritzy artistic feel to it, and decided it’s definitely something I’d like to use as a spring board for one of my pages. So, I took the idea of lots of paint, splatters, brushes, a bit of word art, and a couple of scattered elements, and came up with this page:     While my page is definitely still quite different from the original (I can’t help myself and need to cluster more elements somehow), you may still be able to find some similarities. And at any rate … the website colorconspiracy is definitely a place worthwhile when you look for inspiration for one of your own pages!

P2D: Busy Me

I have more to share with you in my paper-2-digi spot this week. Take a look at this traditionally scrapped page:   I totally loved the list Corrie created, placed next to the portrait photo, and the title cut from the background paper. So, I set out to implement these aspects on a page of my own, also trying to imitate the somewhat artsy feel of the page (with all the paint splats and what not). And here’s where that inspiration got me on a page of my own …   Of course, I couldn’t do without adding a few extra clusters of ellies, because I love ellie clusters!     Supplies used here are: Bohemian Beauty by Sweetshoppe Designs – Mark the Spot Alpha by Traci Reed Designs – StampaBets Vol. 3 by Zoe Pearn – Doodley Doo Alpha by Christy Lyle (retired)

P2D: Spring

Got you another fun page that was inspired by some traditional scrapbooking page. Take a look at this layout by geekgalz over at Studio Calico’s gallery: I thought that this looked like a fun page with all the layers and the paint splats etc. So, of course I had to try my hand at lifting it (but not without giving it my own little personal twist, of course):   It’s spring after all. Anyhow. If you’re looking for some inspiration to scraplift a traditional page, you might want to take a little peek at geekgalz’ gallery. She’s got tons of fun layouts that you could use as a jumping board for one of your own designs.

P2D: Me

I love the inspiration I can get from real paper scrappers. Here’s another page that inspired me: And here’s my own page: In order to create the little frames, I used my tablet to draw them, and the rest was simply to fill them with the goodies that came with the scrapbooking kit.

P2D: QQ Candy

I found myself another source of inspiration for my scrapbook pages. I found this page at http://www.jbsmercantile.com, a website full of inspiration and fun layouts, so you might want to check it out if you’ve never heard of it. Anyhow, what intrigued me about this page was the composition and the use of patterned papers and stitches, and you’ll find that these are the aspects I’ve tried to maintain when I worked on my own version. Take a look at the end result:

P2D: Reading Again

I have another great source of inspiration for you (though some of you may know about Shimelle already, of course). But if you’re someone who doesn’t go there all too often, or someone who is always looking for more inspiration, you don’t need to look any further … for now. Take a look at this fun paper layout: What really caught my eye about it was the fun boldly patterned papers, which were used on this layout, and so when I was doing my own page, I looked for the same … a combination of bold patterns and bright colors. So, here’s my page …

P2D: Keeping Record

There’s so much inspiration out there, and this week, I decided to lift this page:   And here’s my take on it …   Now, don’t miss the blog where I got the original page from, because it has a lot of fun layouts that are easy to lift.Of course, you can see, I kept faithful to myself, by adding extra clusters and stuff. Just because I’m lifting something doesn’t mean I can’t give it my personal touch, right ?
