Monday Highlight: Country Christmas

So, I guess it’s about time to start talking about some Christmas stuff here in the Monday Highlight. And even though there are tons of adorable new Christmas kits out (I’m a sucker for Christmas kits – have I told you I have tons of them already and still have keep adding new ones to my stash), today I want to show you one Christmas scrapbook that was released last year, but I’m still completely in love with it … Country Christmas by Melissa Bennett Basically, I love everything about this kit. It’s range of colors allows for quite versatile layouts, the embellishments are over all cute and I love the warmth that spreads through each page created with this gem. Here’s a page of mine using “Country Christmas” and a template by Julie Billingsley (part of the Cookies 4 Kids project over at SSD). I just started baking the first Christmas cookies of the season the other day, and Melissa’s kit is just perfect to use for that theme, as it has some cookies …

Monday Highlight (11/29)

The end of November is quickly approaching, the Christmas season has already started, but I want to highlight a very non-Christmas themed digi-kit today: “Reach for the Sky.” (Will try to show you some more Christmas products and layouts in the weeks to come, so check back in for that.) Reach for the Sky by Kristin Chronin-Barrow This kit has a beautiful color palette of blues and browns, mixed with some pops of green and red, and though it seems to be made for more masculine layouts (color scheme wise), the flowers included will also work for beautiful feminine pages , which makes this kit quite versatile. Kristin also created some unique embellishments (kites, air balloons, and a fun pennant element) that look adorable on any page. Check out what I did using “Reach for the Sky”: I’ve recently gotten these great pictures that I h-a-v-e to scrap with, and though the pictures are all beach themed, I had to use Kristin’s kit with them and love how this page turned out.
