Journaling Café: Winter Thoughts

For many of us in the northern hemisphere, winter’s still somewhat in full swing, and I haven’t even taken the time to look at some wintery-themed journaling. But today is the day where I make good that neglect! Here are some prompts to help you put your thoughts about winter to paper: And here’s one of my pages:   The font used here is my own handwriting font DJB Squirrels In My Pants by Darcy Baldwin (available at the Sweetshoppe).

Journaling Café: Looking Forward

The year of 2012 is still quite young, it still being January and all, so today, in our journaling corner, we will take a look at what is to come this year. What hopes do you have? What expectations? What wishes for change? What wishes for constancy? Here are some prompts to inspire your journaling: And here’s my (somewhat messy) page listing some of my resolutions for this year:

Journaling Café: Assessing What’s Past

The beginning of a new year is a great opportunity to take stock of the year that’s past – where have you succeeded? Where have you failed? In which areas can you say that you’ve grown? What did the past year bring over all? Lot’s of good questions that can help you make the most of this new year. So, here are today’s journaling prompts: I also did some reassessment, and here’s how my page turned out:

Journaling Café: New Beginnings

A new year has started: 2012! A new year means another chance at life; another chance to start all over; to make a new beginning. I’m sure, there are things in your life for which you wish for a new beginning, another chance to make things better. Today’s journaling prompts, therefore, are all about these new beginnings, and maybe they’ll inspire you to think about that which in your life needs a fresh start … Here’s my page about new beginnings: I hope, today’s prompts will inspire your journaling this week, and if you like, you can share your pages with us as well. Journaling Café: Christmas Gifts

In Germany, today is still a full fledged Christmas holiday, officially called 2. Christmas Day (yesterday was the 1. Christmas day). This means, celebrations, indulging in great meals, and gift giving are still in full swing. Today’s journaling inspiration, therefore, is all about the gift giving: Let’s hope that with the holiday aftermath (or maybe continued celebrations) you’ll still find the time to journal some of your thoughts and experiences regarding this year’s Christmas gifts. Here’s a page of mine about gifts: The font used here is my own handwriting font DJB Squirrels In My Pants by Darcy Baldwin (available at the Sweetshoppe).

Journaling Café: Christmas Celebrations

It’s the season of celebrations – Christmas parties, advent afternoons, get together-s with family, friends, colleagues, and whoever else. Today’s journaling prompts are all about the Christmas celebrations: With all the celebrations coming up, I hope you’ll still find the time to record your memories, too … The font used here is my own handwriting font DJB Squirrels In My Pants by Darcy Baldwin (available at the Sweetshoppe).

Journaling Café: Christmas Lights

Christmas is the season of lights: candle light, twinkle lights, illuminated decorations – we’ve certainly found our way to counter the gloom of winter and brighten up this darkest time of the year. Today’s journaling prompts, therefore, are all about the Christmas lights that bring hope and joy into our hearts and homes: With all the business of preparing for the holidays, I hope you’ll still find time to think about a few of these prompts, and maybe they’ll even inspire you to recall some of your favorite memories of the past. In any way, happy story telling, and don’t get so busy that you don’t have the time to stop and be merry and bright for a moment each day throughout the season! Journaling Café: Christmas Preparations

Christmas season has officially started, and for most of us that means lots of preparations need to be made. Today’s journaling prompts are all about those preparations. Sometimes we can get so focused on documenting those special moments in our lives that we tend to forget to record that part that has to do with the everyday little things, and yet, it’s those little preparations that help so much to make our special moments unforgettable. I hope these prompts will help to inspire your journaling this week, and enjoy telling your stories!
