Enable Me: Autumn Words

If you’ve seen my home-page today, then you’ll know that we’ve got a reason to celebrate. MistyHilltops.com is turning one! And that means, it’s time for a little party. But what’s a birthday without presents? So I prepared this little pack of word strips perfect for your autumn pages. Here’s the layout that inspired those word strips, and maybe it’ll inspire you to play around with word strips yourself! By the way, if you haven’t seen the summer word strips that I created a while back, you can still find the download link in this post HERE. Note: Please do not re-distribute these word strips in any way (you may share the link to this post), and when you use these word strips, please make sure to credit them to Misty Hilltops Designs.

Enable Me: Custom Shapes for Photoshop

I usually have photo actions for you when I want to share something for Photoshop on Enable-Me Wednesdays. Today, I thought I’d mix things up a bit (though don’t worry, I still have lots of more free photoshop actions to share with you, thanks to my sister who hooks me up). Today, I have a set of custom shapes that I’d like to share. If you’ve seen yesterday’s tutorial post on creating journaling mats from custom shapes, then this is the perfect addition for you to find a huge assortment of various shapes. (My leaf shape is from this custom shape set.) Simply click on the image above to get to the download page, and I hope you find this useful (esp. for those of you who do the challenges at SSD as this month has a challenge to create a brush from a custom shape). Have fun playing with all the shapes …

Enable Me: Color Palette Generator

Have you ever heard about color palette generators? They break up images into their various shades of color and create matching color palettes. A pretty neat tool that can come in handy sometimes when you need to decide which kit to use for a photo, or want to create something with a certain color palette. There are tons of color palette generators out there on the www, when you just google them. But I found one that I discovered, which is pretty neat. I rather like it, because It allows you to use images from a URL as well as uploading one from your computer, It creates various shades of color palettes – light, medium, dark, It gives you the number for the color, which is perfect for web use, as well as, in Photoshop when you want to make sure you use the exact same color again. So, if you ever need a color palette generator, here you have one that I found works pretty well!

Enable Me: Photoshop Actions Pack

Oh, I’ve neglected this little corner of the world lately, haven’t I? But I’ve been busy with classes, getting everything organized, and working on a fun mini book project that I’ll share with you once I’m getting it done. Promise! (If I ever get it done, lol)! And now, on to some enabling. I haven’t shared any free photoshop actions in quite a while, so it’s about time for another installment. You’ll find the download link to the right side of the web page.

Enable Me: The Scrappin Cop

The last Enable Me post has been quite a while ago, so it’s about time that I’d share something fun with you again. I found this blog just recently, and they offer tons of free stuff related to scrapbooking – overlays, textures, elements, and tons and tons of fun doodles. You should check it out, because they might have just the little something extra that you’ve been looking for – for free! (Just be careful when it says CU ok. For CU purposes, whatever is offered on that blog is not for free! Check out their TOU to be on the save side!)

Enable Me: Back To School Journal Inspiration

These days it’s all about back to school. Even I have my first lesson to teach today. And since I’m always glad when I can get some journal inspiration somewhere, some ideas about what to scrap, and what to talk about on my scrapbook layouts, I thought I’d share some journal inspiration with you today. And as school is starting back up, I think talking about life lessons would be a good idea. So, here are some journal prompts that maybe will get you inspired to record the lessons you, or your loved ones have learned recently: The font used here is DJB Third Grade Teacher by Darcy Baldwin.

Enable Me: Fairy Tale

Well, I hurt my finger the other day, and that means I can’t do much, no tennis, no other stuff, but I’ve been scrapping a ton. Need to get those pages for a photobook finished that I started at the beginning of the year. I will share the results with you as soon as I’m done with it, but first, I want to share another link to some fine photo actions. Simply click on the image above, or HERE to get to the place from which you can download these very easily.

Enable Me: Yet More Photoshop Actions!

Can you believe it’s that time of the month again when I have the privilege of sharing with you another fun pack of Photoshop actions? This time it’s a set of five different actions, created by Shareef Gaadi. Simply click on the image above, and it will take you to the download page on deviant art, where you just need to click on the download link in the upper right area of the page. Have fun trying these out!
