Freebie Freitag: Silhouette Christbaumkugeln With Christmas being right around the corner and life being quite busy as it is, I was very close to not doing a freebie post this week. But then I’m thinking, I still have these Christmas projects lined-up, and it would be such a waste not to share them with you, so here I go again – I just can’t help myself. Hybrid Hub: Christmas Luminaries

I’m still sharing some of my recent Silhouette projects. As another part of my Christmas decorations I created Christmas luminaries. For these, I simply used  different Christmas card shapes that I found in the Silhouette online store (baubles), or used various shapes to create my own (stockings, merry & bright word art), combined everything in one shape, cut, assembled things, lined the insides with some sort of vellum paper I can get here, and now I can illuminate them with tea lights (protected by small glass cups, or else it’s too dangerous). Lighted, they’re quite a pretty sight! Ich bin immer noch nicht fertig, euch meine Silhouette Projekte zu  zeigen. Als ein weiterer Teil meiner Weihnachtsdekoration habe ich kürzlich ein paar Weihnachtslaternchen gebastelt. Dafür habe ich einfach ein paar verschiedene Weihnachtskarten Motive benutzt, die ich im Silhouette Online Laden gefunden habe (Christbaumkugeln), oder habe verschiedene Motive selbst zusammengestellt (Strümpfe, Merry & Bright Titel). Hybrid Hub: Christmas Subway (Word) Art

Bastelecke: Weihnachts Subway Kunst I finally managed to complete my next subway word art piece. Since the season of fall is pretty much over, I knew I wanted my next one to be a Christmas themed one. So I created a file in my Silhouette software. This time I wanted to go for a little more elegance, so I decided to cut all the words from white paper and arrange them on a brown background. Here’s how that turned out:   Ich habs endlich geschafft, mein neuestes Subway Projekt fertigzustellen. Da der Herbst mehr oder weniger vorbei ist, wusste ich, dass mein nächstes Projekt zu Weihnachten passen sollte. Also habe ich eine Datei in meiner Silhouette software erstellt. Dieses Mal sollte es ein bisschen eleganter aussehen, also habe ich alle Worte von weißem Papier ausgeschnitten und sie dann auf braunem Hintergrund arrangiert. Happy Thanksgiving! While the Americans among my readers probably are busy celebrating today, I’m sure some of my European readers are actually busy preparing for the Christmas season. Getting the best of both worlds myself, I get to celebrate Thanksgiving with all my American friends today, but I’ve also been busy this week getting my home ready for Christmas as in Germany this Sunday we’ll start officially by celebrating the first Sunday of Advent. Während die Amerikaner unter meinen Lesern heute wahrscheinlich damit beschäftigt sind, Thanksgiving zu feiern, haben einige meiner europäischen Leser dieser Tage sicherlich damit zu tun, sich auf die Weihnachtszeit vorzubereiten. Ich bekomme das Beste von beiden Seiten ab. Ich kann heute Thanksgiving mit meinen amerikanischen Freunden und Kollegen feiern, aber ich war diese Woche auch schon damit beschäftigt, meine Wohnung für die Weihnachtszeit klar zu machen. Hybrid Hub: Red-White-Black Mini Album

Bastelecke: Rot-Schwarz-Weißes Minialbum I’ve had this lined up for a long time, and today, I’m finally ready to show you one of the mini albums I created this summer. I created this one using a paper collection I found in one of the craft stores, and combined it with red solid card stock. I added a couple of little embellishments, and it was ready to go. Es stand schon lange an, dass ich euch dieses Minialbum zeigen wollte, das ich im Sommer gebastelt habe, und heute ist es endlich soweit. Für dieses Projekt habe ich eine Papierkollektion benutzt, die ich in einem Bastelgeschäft gefunden habe, und habe sie einfach mit rotem Tonkarton kombiniert. Ich habe ein paar Blümchen und Extras zur Verzierung hinzugefügt, und schon war es präsentierfähig.
