I think I told you that I’ve started working on another mini album, and for this, I thought I might add a couple of little crochet embellishments. So, I got myself a set of crochet needles and yarn in a range of different colors, and then, with the help of some youtube videos, and my mom (who actually sat down with me for hours yesterday via Skype), I learned how to crochet this cute little hat and purse. (Did I tell you that the last time I ever did anything like crochet was during 4th grade in elementary school? That’s like a lifetime ago, and I completely had to learn things from scratch again.) But as my mom was kind enough to sit down with me and crochet one set of these on her own to teach me, I was able to complete this project and can’t wait to put it on my cover page of the little mini …

Bastelecke: Leuchtturm von svgcuts.com   Last week I shared with you a little rowboat project that I created recently. This week, I’d like to show you something that I totally fell in love with the moment I saw in the svgcuts store. It’s a (not so) little lighthouse, made completely of card stock, patterned papers and vellum. I simply cut out the pieces with my Silhouette machine and when I thought that assembling this would be tedious, hard hard work, I was surprise how easily everything came together. Really, even very unskilled crafters can put this together without stressing.   Letzte Woche habe ich euch ein kleines Ruderboot Projekt gezeigt, das ich vor kurzem gebastelt habe. Mittwochs Inspiration: Häkelmuster von Lacework Petit Motif   Friends, today I’d like to share something with you that at first glance seems to have very little to do with scrapbooking of any sort. A couple months back I purchased a few paper projects from svgcuts.com, including the super cute summer themed kit “Picnic in the Park.”   Da der Sommer sich nun schon mal solch große Mühe gibt, war ich in bester Laune mal ein paar sommerliche Projekte zu basteln. Bastelecke: Familienzeit Minialbum   I want to show you another mini album I made. This one is one of the most fancy albums I’ve made so far, I love how it turned out, and it was a lot of fun to create.   Ich möchte euch gern ein weiteres Minialbum zeigen, das ich gebastelt habe. Dies ist eines der kompliziertesten, die ich bislang gemacht habe und das Endergebnis gefällt mir sehr gut.   As base, I used some simple brown craft paper and a Tabbed Chipboard Album template from Lori Whitlock, which is available at the Silhouette Online Store or on Lori’s blog. However, I modified Lori’s album, by adding pockets and a special binding to it which you can find described in a youtube clip HERE.   Als Grundlage habe ich einfaches braunes festes Papier verwendet und das Tabbed Chipboard Album von Lori Whitlock, welches im Silhouette Online Laden oder auf Loris Blog erhältlich ist. Project Life 2014 – Weeks 23 & 24

Projekt Leben 2014 – Woche 23 & 24   Is it really time for our weekly PL recap already? Well, then … Today I have two new pages I’d like to share with you and, really, I’m happy with the way they turned out. As always, I printed and cut the cards and ellies with my Silhouette. I assembled the flowers (which turned out really pretty, I think), added my journaling and my stamping and together came these two spreads. Mini Album: Hello Sister

Bastelecke: Minialbum – Hello Sister   Boy, despite the fact that I’m on summer holiday, I haven’t gotten to the point of starting to work on another mini album (though I have lots of topics to scrap about, and lot’s of materials, too). Anyhoo, as I’ve had chances to work on some albums over the last couple of months, there’s still more that I can show you. Project Life 2014 – Weeks 21 & 22

Projekt Leben 2014 – Woche 21 & 22   I’ve been busy busy chipping away on my PL spreads these days, and I’ve made significant progress. Weeks 21 till 26 are printed and cut, week 27 halfway printed and cut, and I only need to assemble a couple more spreads. So, I guess, I did play a lot of catch-up lately, which means I’m ready to show you my spreads for weeks 21 and 22.   Ich war ganz fleissig damit beschäftigt, meine PL Seiten aufzuarbeiten und ich habe sehr guten Fortschritt gemacht. Die Wochen 21 bis 26 sind ausgedruckt und ausgeschnitten und Woche 27 ist halb fertig. Jetzt muss ich nur noch ein paar Seiten zusammensetzen. Bastelecke: Den Frühling feiern – Minialbum   Yes, yes, I’ve been having immense fun creating mini albums these last few months, and today I’m happy to show you my next sample. This one is about my favorite memories this past spring. I used a mini album template by Lori Whitlock from the Silhouette Online Store and Kristin Cronin-Barrow’s amazing digital scrapbooking kit “Spread Your Wings.” With my silhouette I cut out various elements (flowers, labels, trims, etc.) decorated my pages and this album came together quite easily.   Ja, ja, ich hab in den letzten Monaten unheimlich viel Spass gehabt, verschiedene Minialben zu basteln. Und heute freue ich mich schon darauf, euch das nächste Exemplar vorzuführen. Ich habe eine Minialbum Vorlage von Lori Whitlock aus dem Silhouette Online Store benutzt und dazu Kristin Cronin-Barrow’s toll digitale Scrapbooking Kit “Spread Your Wings.” Mit meiner Silhouette habe ich verschiedene Elemente (Blumen, Labels, Bordüren, etc.) ausgeschnitten, mit denen ich dann die Seiten dekoriert habe. So kam das Album recht schnell zustande.

Bastelecke: Ein Tag in Paris – Minialbum I’m excited to share with you another mini album that I made recently. This one was a lot of fun to make because it looks rather complicated, but it’s actually really easy to make.   Endlich ist es Zeit, dass ich euch ein weiteres Minialbum zeigen kann, dass ich erst kürzlich erstellt habe. Dieses zu basteln hat mir richtig Spass gemacht, weil es ziemlich kompliziert aussieht aber eigentlich ganz einfach zu erstellen ist.     I used the paper from a day planner. The title “One Day In” I printed onto brown paper and added the word “Paris” with a cut-out from my Silhouette Cameo. Embellished things a bit and it was done.   Das Papier habe ich von einem Timer verwendet. Den Titel “One Day in” auf braunes Papier gedruckt und dann den Schriftzug “Paris” mit meiner Silhouette Cameo ausgeschnitten.
