December Daily 2013

Dokumentiere deinen Dezember: 2013 One of my favorite projects to work on each year is the December Daily, which was started by Ali Edwards. If you’ve been around my blog for a while you’ll have noticed that I’ve been creating Albums that document my December for several years now (simply check out the tag “DECEMBER DAILY” to find all my previous posts regarding my DD journey – lots of photos, tutorials, etc.). This year, I’ve been thinking a lot, and finally decided to dare and do an all out hybrid album. It’s more work than digitally creating a page and simply printing …

December Daily 2012: Final Wrap Up

December 2012 is over – and to be honest, I’m glad I’m done with the December Daily this year. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing it because if nothing else, it helps me live the season very consciously and make the most of every day, but I’m glad I don’t have to try and keep up with a page for every day anymore. I still have two more pages I need to show you, and soon I’ll be ready to share with you the finished project.   See my other weekly recaps here: Week 5 Week 4 Week 3 Week 2 Week 1

December Daily 2012: Week 4 Recap

Time is flying. Can you believe week four has already passed? (Well for most of you who do DD projects, you’re probably still at week 3). But anyhow. It’s time for me to share the latest on my DD album: For larger view and credits, click on individual pages. Now it’s time for me to get ready for the holidays. To all of you I wish a merry Christmas and some happy celebrating.

December Daily 2012: Week 3 Recap

It’s hard to fathom that Christmas is so close again already. I’ve had another week full of busy activities, and would like to share my latest on the current DD album: All images above are linked (for credits and larger view). If you are doing the December Daily, I hope your pages are coming together as well. That’s from me for this week. And don’t forget to pick up this week’s last part of my freebie kit “A Grateful Heart,” if you haven’t done so already.

Inspire Me: Traci Reed

One of the people whose December Daily project has served as great inspiration for me this year has been Traci Reed.   I love how she fills her album with all the mess and beauty of her everyday life and special activities in December. Every page looks very different, and you can get tons of inspiration just by looking at her current project. Traci has been great at posting her project so far, and you can check it out on her blog: HERE.

December Daily 2012: Week 2 Recap

Another week has passed, and I’m happy to say that my DD project is coming along nicely. First, I was a little concerned that I might not be able to stay on top of it this year (because I decided to make a couple of changes to the routine). But with some delay, I’m actually able to keep up. So, with no further ado, here comes this past week: For larger views and credits click on the images. And don’t forget to pick up the latest part of the scrapbook kit “A Grateful Heart” in the freebie section. That Book We Call December Daily

If you’ve peaked over into my little Digiscrap Corner these days, you may have realized that the December Daily takes a prominent role in the discussions over there. Most of my friends here wouldn’t know what the December Daily is, unless I told them: “It’s that Christmas book I made last year!” And then a glow of acknowledgement would light up their faces and they would say something like: “Ahhh, yes! That pretty book, which is so much fun to read,” because all year they’ve studied last year’s DD album, laughed at the pictures, and remembered the various occasions. And of course, they love to discover themselves in the photos, because most of them are part of the story at some point. This year, I’ve been working on a new December Daily album, which means I’ve gotten into the habit of using my camera a little more often, and taking pictures more regularly than usual. So, of course, my friends have noticed it, and they started to wonder about it. But when I tell them, …
