A Tough Nut

Eine harte Nuss So, here’s the dilemma: When I went shopping for the Christmas holidays, I discovered they were selling hazel nuts in the supermarket – something I hadn’t seen around here before (hazel nuts are a typical “snack” during the Christmas season in my family). So, of course, I had to get myself a bagful of them. Assuming, that is that my nutcracker, of which I know that I have one, must be sitting at home in one of my kitchen drawers, patiently awaiting his opportunity to be of use. But soon after I got home, I discovered, nutcracker had gone off, wandering about, and was nowhere to be found (something that’s not too infrequent here as my kitchen is pretty well equipped and people often come knocking on my door asking for this or that). Bastelecke: Weihnachtskarten 2013 – Teil 4 Phew! I’m getting there. These are the last couple of cards I made in the fall that I’m going to share with you, but I think they’re some of my favorite ones (at least 2 of them are). Puhh! Hab’s fast geschafft. Papier & Digital: Weihnachtsschuh I got inspired again by one beautiful paper layout! Take a look at this page: Ich bin mal wieder von einem schönen Papierlayout inspiriert worden! Seht euch mal diese Seite an:   What I loved about this page are the soft colors, the overall composition, the paint in the background, the two flag elements at the bottom of the cluster, and how everything is so beautifully arranged around the photo. So, these are the things that made the basis for my lift: Was mir an dieser Seite besonders gefiel waren die zarten Farben, die gesamte Komposition, der gemalte Hintergrund, die beiden Fähnchen unterhalb des Fotos, and wie alles so hübsch um das Foto herum drapiert wurde. Und diese waren die Grundlage für meine Seite:

 Bastelecke: Weihnachtskarten 2013 – Teil 2 I still have a couple of Christmas cards sitting around that I didn’t get to share with you during December. Here’s the second batch of them using digital scrapbooking products and various Silhouette Studio shapes (printing and cutting): Ich habe immer noch ein paar Weihnachtskarten, die ich noch nicht geschafft habe, euch zu zeigen. Hier ist der 2. Teil.
