The day begins with a good breakfast. Then we make for the city center, which on foot is only a couple of minutes away. Here we decide to make a boat tour with one of the glass bottom boats. Vom gefrorenen Weiher und andere Wintermärchen Winter is starting to take shape. So, dear sister offered to take us to a nearby pond for some ice skating. Her colleagues told her they’d been there, done that. So, we quickly go rummaging through dear sisters extensive winter sport equipment to dig up a couple of ice skates for us to use, and off we go to said pond. Except that when we arrive, we find the pond having a huge hole in the middle of the ice – not quite as frozen as we thought. And I guess, here shows that we really have done our bit of growing up. Because instead of blowing all concerns to the wind, bracing the danger, and putting our plans into action, we do what all reasonable ladies should do: we decide to skip ice skating and go into town for some shopping. Die Back-Praktikanten Ok, I admit it: You could blame me for making my students labor like slaves in my home. Almost, at least. Why? Because I make my students come and cut cookies for me for hours. But then, please, don’t blame me too horribly. Because my students actually really enjoy doing it. Why? Because hardly any of them have ever done anything like baking or cutting cookies. And for them it’s like an exciting adventure. Something they can’t get enough of. So, in the end, one hand washes the other: While I get to have loads of cookies (of which they they devour a good portion, of course), they get to have all the Christmas magic and excitement we used to have growing up. Herrlicher Herbst We’re still enjoying the most beautiful autumn since I moved here. So, I can’t help myself – in spite of being quite busy, I just have to get out there to capture the moments. And you’re lucky, because you can be part of it. Wir genießen immer noch den herrlichsten Herbst seitdem ich hierhergezogen bin. Dokumentiere Weihnachten 2015 So, before I start to embark on this year’s Document Christmas adventure, I wanted to show you last year’s project that I haven’t gotten around to sharing yet. I used the 25 Days of December French Fold 5×7 vertical album template by Carina Gardner that I got from the Silhouette store for my basic album, but then, of course, made it very much my own. Since I have so many lovely Christmas kits, I hate to narrow things down to just one kit for the entire album, so I used a different kit for every double page. This album also comes with large pockets (between pages), which gave me lots of extra space to work with.
