I want to go down memory lane one last time (which are still available for download) before starting to share new freebies.

Traveler’s Notebook Layout: Winter Walk

I’m ready to share with you my next layout. For this one, I used my die cuts to cut a number of circles. The large dotted circle, I simply cut in half and used both halves on the page.

One of the papers from the paper pack “Winter Forest” came with lots of little winter scenes. I made sure when I cut those, to have those scenes be the focal points of the smaller circles. Also, while I didn’t use circles on the right side of the page where I put the larger square photo, I repeated the circle them, by adding a round frame, to tie the two sides together.

For the title I watercolored a strip of card stock and used two of my die cut sets to cut the words.

Es gibt ein neues Layout, das ich mit euch teilen möchte. Für dieses Layout habe ich mit meinen Stanzen ein paar Kreise gestanzt. Den größeren, gepunkteten Kreis habe ich dann einfach halbiert, und beide Hälften verwendet.

Eines der Papiere von “Winter Forest” hatte lauter kleine Winterlandschaften. Die habe ich gezielt ausgewählt, als ich die kleinen Kreise ausgestanzt habe.

Obwohl ich keine Kreise auf der rechten Seite verwendet habe, habe ich das Kreisthema mit Hilfe des runden Rahmens fortgeführt, und so die beiden Seiten miteinander verbunden.

Für den Titel habe ich Tonkarton mit Wasserfarbe bemalt, und dann zwei meiner Stanzsets verwendet, um die Worte auszustanzen.

Hey you guys! I have another layout to share with you, and this one was a lot of fun to create.

I wanted to create a layout that goes across the two pages of the TN spread. But as with the previous layouts, the paper pack “Winter Forest” that I’m using isn’t large enough. I solved the problem, by arranging the photos to the left of the page, and pretending the paper continues behind the photos. Which it doesn’t. It ends just where it’s tucked underneath the large square. But before I glued the papers and photos down, I prepped the page by painting it with water color – about where I knew the paper strip would end.

After the watercolor dried, I put down the paper strip, which has a beautiful motif of a wintery forest scenery. I also stamped and colored, and fussy cut this little winter cabin on card stock, that I then placed on the strip of paper, so that it would be added to the scenery.

Once the photos were added, the word strips, other embellishments, and the title followed. The title is partly die cut, and partly I used one of my scripty stamp alphas to create.

Hallo Freunde. Ich habe ein weiteres Layout, das ich euch zeigen möchte, und es hat Spass gemacht, dieses Layout zu erstellen.

Ich wollte gerne meine Anordnung über die gesamte Breite des TN Layouts arrangieren. Aber wie schon zuvor erwähnt ist das Papierpack von “Winter Forest,” das ich verwende zu klein dafür. Ich habe das Problem gelöst, indem ich die Fotos auf der linken Seite angeordnet habe, und dann so getan habe, als ginge das Papier unter den Fotos weiter. Aber in Wahrheit endet es knapp unter dem größeren Foto. Aber bevor ich alles aufgeklebt habe, wollte ich noch den Hintergrund mit Wasserfarbe bemalen, so dass es auf dem Hintergrund zu sehen ist.

Nachdem die Wasserfarbe getrocknet ist, habe ich dann den Papierstreifen aufgeklebt, der eine schöne Waldlandschaft zeigt. Dann habe ich noch die Hütte gestempelt, bemalt, und ausgeschnitten, und sie in die Winterlandschaft integriert.

Nachdem die Fotos und anderen Elemente zukamen, habe ich den Titel von einem meiner Alphas gestanzt, und den Rest gestempelt und ausgeschnitten.

Here comes my next traveler’s notebook spread. For this one, I ventured out a little. I wanted to use a design that spreads from the top of the page to the bottom. But the problem: TN sizes are 8 1/4 inches tall, but my paper pack “Winter Forest” is only 6×6 inches. So, I got a little creative. I have this washi tape that I used to create that border on the left side of the layout.

Then I went ahead and added the papers, photos and die cuts. The little set of hat and mittens are stamps that I fussy cut and left uncolored.

Lastly, I added the word strips, and the title, which I stamped and then fussy cut.

Hier kommt meine nächste Seite. Für diese habe ich mal was Neues probiert. Ich wollte mal ein Design verwenden, das über die ganze Seite geht. Das Problem: TN Seiten sind 21 cm lang, aber mein Papierblock “Winter Forest” ist nur etwas mehr als 15 cm im Quadrat. Also bin ich ein bisschen kreativ geworden, und habe dieses Washi Klebeband benutzt um die Bordüre am linken Rand zu erstellen.

Dann habe ich die Papiere, Fotos, und gestanzten Motive hinzugefügt. Das kleine Set von Mütze, Handschuhen und Schal habe ich dann gestempelt und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

Zum Schluss kamen die Wortstreifen dazu, und der Titel, den ich gestempelt und dann ausgeschnitten habe.

This is the next reminder of my previous freebies. In case you wonder, as of this date all previous freebies should still be available, and you should be able to find them by clicking on “Freebies” in the menu above, or on the Tag “Freebie” in the tag cloud on the right side of the web page. Or search for them specifically, by typing the name of each collection in the search bar down the right sidebar.

Due to my long absence from mistyhilltops.com, I didn’t keep much track of what was happening here, and I received several comments that a few individual links weren’t working. I looked into those cases (2 to my knowledge), and whatever bugs there were should be fixed at this point. But if you run into more trouble, just let me know in the comments, and I’ll see what I can do.

Da ich so lange ganz wenig auf mistyhilltops.com gepostet habe, habe ich auch nicht viel auf darauf geachtet, was auf der Webseite los ist.
