And now, have fun and happy scrapping!

Hybrid Hub: Card #56 – For You

I’d like to share another card with you: This one has a very simple design: two patterned papers for the background; a scalloped mat, a butterfly made of three pieces, a trim, a sentiment and a bow. I printed the papers from Meghan Mullens’ “Meaningful Moments” digital scrapbooking kit on card stock, cut everything with the silhouette and assembled it. Here’s a detailed look at the card:

Enable Me: Free Simple Scrapbook Sketches from Scrapvine

Being active in the digital scrapbooking world for several years, I still am glad for all the inspiration and ideas I can get. Not only does this broaden my horizon as far as skills and creativity are concerned, it also helps me get ideas when I run into a creative block. For this reason, I often browse the www for new ideas and inspiration, and the other day, I ran into a website called Scrapvine, which is all about digiscrapping. And what was fun there is that they also have a whole ebook full of sketches – a great source for inspiration to jump start your layouts.

Journaling Café: Traveling

For many people, summer is the time of traveling. I for my part have been traveling a lot these last two summers. Today’s journaling prompts, therefore, will focus a bit on traveling – your preferences, and what you enjoy. Take a look at this week’s journal inspiration: As always, I created a page about traveling, too, and here you can see a layout on the topic of “road trip”:

Two Scrapbook Friends is a website with traditionally scrapped layouts, and one of those pages stood out to me so that I decided to lift it digitally: Snowmen by maxadriane   Features I loved about this page (and wanted to incorporate on my own page) were the overall composition, the journaling strips, the title, and the placement of embellishments, and the two photos. And here you can take a look at my own page:

Journaling Café: Play-Time

Summer for families usually means lots of play time. Playing inside, outside … who do you (your family) like to play with – today’s journaling prompts are all about play-time. As always, of course, I too, worked on a page, and here’s the result:
Credits: Jokers to the Right by Libby Pritchett & Melissa Bennett Layered Cards – Everyday 5 by Cindy Schneider Big Hunky Alpha Squares by Shawna Clingerman Font: DJB My Neat Print by Darcy Baldwin (sweetshoppedesigns.com)
Some websites have a great number of inspirational layouts. Sketchabilities is one such website that comes up with awesome sketches that are easy to scraplift digitally. Take a look at this layout: It was based on this sketch: I took the inspiration and tried to create a page that featured the following characteristics: One large central cluster on a round, scalloped mat; two smaller clusters at the top and bottom edges of the layout; two photos; embellish each cluster with a number of flowers and other elements. And this is what I came up with:
