Enable Me: Free Print and Cut Printables by Rebecca B.

I love the wealth of resources you can find on the www. There’s so much stuff out there you can use for free! Today, I’d like to share with you the website Uprintables where you can find a number of lovely printables which are free for download. Just go and check out Rebecca’s website, and you’ll find a lot of stuff that you might really like. And what’s great for silhouette owners, they can use these printables for their hybrid projects as well! Yay for generous people, and thanks Rebecca!

P2D: Beautiful Dreamer

Paper to Digi means I’m taking a traditionally scrapped paper layout and scraplift it so as to create a digital layout. This week, I found this lovely page that immediately inspired me: What I loved about this page was the composition, the piece of word art that got so much focus, the placement of the title, and all the little scattered elements. It’s what I tried to incorporate on my own page (and, of course, this time the topic of the page inspired me as well). So, here’s how my page with this turned out:

Freebie Friday: Daybreak by the Sea – Part 2

Here goes another week, and that means you’re up for receiving the second part of this beach freebie kit: Daybreak by the Sea, you’ll get the first part of the papers. My Terms of Use apply, which means you can only use this kit for your personal use, and if you’d like to share, then only by sharing links to mistyhilltops.com (Digiscrap Corner), no direct linking to the product download page. Alrighty, I’m curious to see what you’re scrapping with this, and if you’ve missed older freebie kits, they’re still available on my blog. Happy Friday, scrappers, and happy scrapping!

Hybrid Hub: Card #58 – Thank You

I was having the greatest fun getting my hands into craft projects last week. After all, I was staying with my sister, and she’s become a Stampin’ Up demonstrator over the last year. Needless to say that she has a huge collection of stamps and die cuts already. It’s kind of like getting to crafting paradise, esp. since I brought with me my silhouette cutter, and all the ton of stuff to combine my love for digiscrapping with crafting. So, there’s no question that I worked on quite the number of projects. Here’s another card I made (with papers from my – very old – paper scrap stash), using my sister’s Big Shot to create some embossing texture on the plain card stock. Here’s the card:   And here you have some details:

Enable Me: Favorite Fonts of Homemade Ocean

It’s been a while since I talked about fonts the last time. And since I love fonts, and since I constantly keep adding to my collection of fonts, I’d like to share with you a fun mix of fonts I found on another website (homemadeocean.com) the other day.   All these fonts are meant for use when creating flyers, but quite honestly, I think they’d look just as well on any scrapbooking layout. So, if you want to know more, please go to homemadeocean.com (esp. if you’re looking where to get these fonts)!

Journaling Café: Summer

Who doesn’t like summer? All the fun outdoors, the picnics, the visits to the lake (or pool), the trips to the ice cream parlors (at least in Europe), the family vacation … Today’s journaling prompts, therefore, are all about what to do on those perfect summer days.   There you have it! And since I love to scrap what others journal, here’s my take on today’s prompts. I scrapped about what a perfect day in the summer would look like for me:

P2D: We Two

This week with my family has been fun, and so I decided to scrap about one of the things that happened. But first, of course, I should show you the layout that inspired my page:   Ok, so what I loved about this page was the overall composition and all the little details, like the hard element, the butterfly, the little wordart pieces. I also loved the use of paper as a mat, so I tried to incorporate a couple of these things on a digital page of my own, and here’s what came of it …
