I begin the day early. As soon as I wake up, I return to a beach for a nice walk in the beautiful morning mist.
The surf is still up, making it fun to walk along the water’s edge.
I return for breakfast, and to discover that the niece wants to sleep a little longer. I pay for parking, and return to the beach for another long walk.

Heute stehe ich früh auf, um den Morgen am Strand zu genießen. Es gibt immer noch eine schöne Brandung, bei der es Spass macht, am Wasser zu laufen.
Ich kehre zurück zum Camper, um festzustellen, dass die Nichte noch länger schlafen will. Also bezahle ich nochmals für unseren Parkplatz, und kehre nochmals zum Strand zurück.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The majority of the day we spend at the beach of Viareggio. The niece has heard that surfing is possible here, and sets out to find a rental place as soon as we parked the car and got ready for the beach. While I wait for her at the pier, she manages to secure a surfboard, and then I watch her taking on the waves.
Later, I take two long walks along the beach, one before, one after lunch.

Den größten Teil des Tages verbringen wir dann am Strand von Viareggio. Die Nichte hat gehört, dass hier Surfen möglich ist, und macht sich sofort auf die Suche nach einer Mietstation für Surfboards. Sie wird auch fündig, und dann sehe ich ihr beim Surfen zu.

After 4:30 pm we leave Viareggio and make our way north, past the sweltering heat of Milano towards the lakes in the north. The niece has picked a quiet spot for the night, and we get there after having passed Switzerland.

Nach 16:30 Uhr verlassen wir Viareggio, and reisen nordwärts. Vorbei an der sengenden Hitze Mailands geht es zu den Seen im Norden. Die Nichte hat einen stillen Ort für die Nacht ausfündig gemacht, und mit einer kurzen Stipvisite durch die Schweiz gelangen wir dorthin.
