Apple Season
Apfelzeit
I’m enjoying my last couple of days at home, and that means I get to see the apples getting ready. Funny thing is, they planted lots of apple trees along the road, and those apples look good and yummy, but really, they don’t belong to anyone. So, I guess that’s a good thing. Because that means they really belongs to everyone and that means people in our town are lucky, coz come apple season they get lots of fresh fruit for free.
Ich genieße noch meine letzten Tage daheim und das heisst, ich kann mit ansehen, wie die Äpfel reif werden. Das lustige ist, jemand hat eine Reihe von Apfelbäumen am Straßenrand gepflanzt, die alle gut und lecker aussehen. Aber sie gehören eigentlich niemandem so richtig. Aber das ist wohl auch ganz gut so. Denn das heisst, sie gehören eigentlich allen. Für die Leute im Ort ist das toll, denn wenn erstmal Apfelzeit ist, dann bekommen sie eine Menge frisches Obst umsonst!

Remember the lighthouse I made last year? It’s made from card stock and looks pretty awesome when used as decoration around the house. This summer, I visited my sister who also owns a Silhouette Cameo. So, I decided to make her a little lighthouse as well. She’s a total lover of gray and white, so she requested that I use some gray scrapbooking paper she’s got around the house to make her lighthouse. And this is how it turned out: (I used the photos from her blog, because I totally forgot to take pics of it, while visiting her.)
Erinnert ihr euch noch an den Leuchtturm, den ich letztes Jahr gebastelt habe? Er ist aus Tonkarton und ist perfekt als Deko geeignet. Diesen Sommer habe ich meine Schwester besucht, die auch eine Silhouette Cameo besitzt. Also habe ich beschlossen, ihr auch einen Leuchtturm zu basteln. Sie steht total auf Grau und hat sich deshalb erbeten, dass ich ihr graues Scrapbooking Papier dafür nehme. Und so schaut er aus: (Ich habe Fotos von ihrem Blog benutzt, weil ich vergessen habe, selber Bilder davon zu machen, als ich bei ihr war.)

Another week has passed, and this one was full of fun stuff that could actually fill an entire album. So it was quite the challenge to reduce the number of photos to the couple ones that actually made it on the spread.
Eine weitere Woche ist vergangen und es war eine Woche voller toller Ereignisse, die sogar ein ganzes Album füllen könnten. Daher war es eine Herausforderung, die Anzahl der Fotos so zu reduzieren, dass sie auf diese Doppelseite passen.

Craft Corner: Treat Bag 2

I made a second treat bag very similar to the other one I showed here last week. These are so easy to make. I simply opened the file in my Silhouette Studio, resized it and then put everything together. I added ribbons and tape strips as well as a tag and within minutes this was done.
Ich habe noch eine zweite Papiertasche ganz ähnlich derer gebastelt, die ich euch letzte Woche gezeigt habe. Sie sind so einfach gebastelt. Ich habe die Datei einfach in meinem Silhouette Studio geöffnet, die Größe angepasst und dann alles zusammengefügt. Ich habe noch ein Bastband ergänzt und etwas Klebeband verwendet und innerhalb von Minuten war alles fertig.
