For some of us, the end of the school year is near, and that means, it’s a good time to think and reflect a little on what we’ve been learning.
It’s also a great time to think about things you learned in the past as well as considering what you would like to learn in the future.
Of course, I had to put together a page of my own, with some little reflection, and here’s the result:

I have a problem. A wet, moldy, leak problem. In my bathroom. You may remember. Well, for about two months now I’m trying to have my problem fixed. But the problem is that no one cares about my problem. At least not enough to actually do anything about it, even though I’m trying almost weekly to get someone to take care of this. And so it happened that last week, before the May holiday, I had yet another group of workers inspect the problem. And they promised me that after the May holiday, that would be on May 2nd, they’d come back to fix things. Like they always promise. And like they never fix it. And so it happened that May 2nd has come. As well as May 3rd, and May 4th, and still there’s no fixing in sight. My poor poor little bathroom!
I love finding ideas from other scrappers and using their layouts as inspiration for my own. This following layout is such an example.
I found this intriguing page on Daphne Wünn-Rihm’s website:
Not only did I dig the composition, but I totally fell in love with the idea of stitching the silhouette of a city onto the page. So, using Mommyish’s Stitching actions and finding a simple outline of Paris online, I quickly recreated a page featuring just these things, while at the same time preserving my own style of scrapping (clustering). And look how my own page turned out:

It’s a tradition already. Every year, I take students and friends on a little bike trip to the airport. Of course, I have to explain to them – as none of them has ever traveled by plane – that going to the airport building (otherwise known as terminal) is far from exciting, and that the real adventure waits out there on one of the fields at the end of the runway.
Unquestionably, they enjoy the little excursion immensely, and I? I get to have a sunburn (on a not sunny day – or does it look like the sun is out on the pictures?) and a lot of extra exercise. (And I had the benefit of getting my bike cleaned, after it had collected dust for several months over the winter).

We used to have butter, packaged nicely and ready to go. Used to. Now, things are different. Now our butter is served in a bowl so as to make sure no one takes more butter than you’re supposed to (as in: as much butter as is supposed to go on your toast). Having butter served in a bowl, however, usually turns into some sort of mess, because other users usually don’t care about making sure their butter knives are clean etc., though quite honestly, I find that yuck!
Today, however, was a good day. Because I actually found the butter bowl clean and untampered with. I was so delighted, that I promptly had to take a photo of a beautifully clean butter bowl.
I’m excited to share with you my next all hybrid double page spread. For this one, I used a digital scrapbooking kit by Kristin Cronin-Barrow & Scrapkitchen Designs (retired), called “A Mother’s Love.” It features photos we took at the edge of a field where a couple of wild flowers bloomed.
