P2D – An Extraordinary Journey

Traditional paper layouts are an endless source of inspiration. For this week’s paper to digi post I found this page here by Kawi:

What I love about this page is the various layers of papers & elements, and how everything was kept at the top edge of the page. I also loved the journaling spot, and it’s these things that I tried to imitate on my own page. Here’s how that turned out:

Bye Bye Ocean

We survived the storm of this past night (not that I thought we wouldn’t, lol). And we survived it without any damage to our belongings (though during the night I kept wondering whether the wind would sweep away my pants which I had hung outside for drying after it hadn’t gotten a bit wet yesterday when we played at the beach). It was still there this morning. And now, the time has come for us to move on. So today, we packed our things and headed back home. But not before I took one last little stroll at the beach to say good-bye:

Freebie Friday: School Is Cool – Part 1

Yippiiieee! I managed to work on another kit to share with you. This one’s all about school (though you could use it for other topics, too, I’m sure). As always, it comes jam-packed with goodies for which you’d elsewhere pay good $$. So, please be nice and play fair by considering my Terms of Use (personal use only).

If you’ve been a collector of my previous freebies, you know the routine … we’ll start with the alphas, and then you come back to collect the remaining parts (5 parts in all).

If you’ve just discovered mistyhilltops.com, and you missed my previous freebie kits, fear not … they’re still all available to you for download. Simply check out the tag “freebie” and you’ll find your way to what I’ve shared in the past.

So, happy collecting, and happy scrapping, friends!

Wind and Surf

Sadly, I have to say that our time at the Baltic Sea is coming to an end. And since we’ve been out and about every day this past week, for once, we decided to stay and spend a lazy day at the beach. And while the morning was nice and comfortable, as the day progressed, the wind began to pick up and by nightfall, the beach was just one windswept strip of sand, with whitecapped waves rolling in and crashing against the shore. But I’m not someone to complain. I love conditions as these, and so I had my fun watching the white crest waves heading towards the shore, and allowing the wind to tousle my hair.
