Slowing Down

Have you realized lately that my blogging has become rather scarce? Well, I can assure you it’s neither a lack of enthusiasm for blogging nor a lack of topics to talk about that caused me to slow down. I enjoy blogging just as much as when I first started out (or maybe even more, since every month I get more readers than ever before, though probably my lack of posting won’t help exceeding that this month).

The reasons for slowing down my blogging routine is three-fold.

1. Time:
Time has become a rare commodity in recent months (always busy with real life), though this is not the real issue. The real issue I’m having is …

2. Internet:
Did I just say something like “slow down”? Yes, you’re right. Slowing down is another problem. Though that’s not my fault. The only time when the internet works well enough to actually be able to access my blog and post something is in the morning (students are most likely in school at that time). But that’s exactly the time when I’m busy with other, more urgent real life issues (like working, lesson planning, or studying). So by the time I have that little extra space to devote to blogging, the internet speed just won’t cooperate with me, ergo: I can’t post.

3. Other Interests:
Since free time is really rare for me lately, I simply have to make choices. It’s either, or. Either I blog, or I do other things I like to do (like photography, or scrapbooking). And with the internet speed being such a pain, recently it’s been more often that I’m doing other things I like to do in my spare time – instead of fighting with the internet and getting mad at trying to post something that just doesn’t want to get posted.

Maybe, if you wish me luck* things will change again sometimes soon.

(Or you could plead with our school’s internet department and beg them to provide us with a better internet connection! I wouldn’t mind you doing that, seriously!)
