Ein Tag im Winter Wunderland

Alright, we had the most gorgeous, most wonderful day in winter wonderland. Dear brother-in-law took us out, high up into the Black Forest, and aside from the most beautiful scenery we got to enjoy sledding, snowboarding, sunbathing and taking beautiful winter hikes. Of course, it was icy cold. But well dressed as we were for the occasion, that mattered nothing. Instead we got blown away by the sparkle und brilliance of sunbathed winter fields. Here’s a tiny glimpse of the things we got to enjoy:

Also gut, wir hatten den besten, allerschönsten Tag im Winter Wunderland. Mein lieber Schwager hat uns hoch hinaus in den Schwarzwald genommen, und nebst herrlichster Winterlandschaft konnten wir Rodeln, Snowboarden, uns sonnen und wunderschöne Wanderungen unternehmen. Natürlich war es eiskalt. Aber bestens gekleidet konnte uns die Winterkälte nichts anhaben. Stattdessen durften wir die sonnengefluteten Felder genießen, die im Sonnenlicht nur so gefunkelt haben. Hier bekommt ihr einen winzigen Eindruck:

First, we went to a ski slope in Ruhestein. Afterward, we made another short trip over to the Lothar Trail, which affords generous views of the Black Forest and the valleys beyond.

Erst gings zum Ruhestein. Und danach fuhren wir das kurze Stück rüber zum Lotharpfad, von wo aus man eine herrliche Aussicht auf den Schwarzwald und die Täler hat.
