P2D Inspiration: Everyday Moments

I have another great Paper to Digi example for you today. I found this page by Elizabeth Carney over in the 2 Peas gallery: As soon as I saw this layout, I knew I had to try my hand at it digitally. I loved the various paper strips, the numbered filmstrip, and of course the photo strips, not to mention the pretty string wrapped all around the layout. So, I went ahead and created this page, inspired by these features, and here is how that turned out: I also got some inspiration from Ali Edward’s word-art collection, which I used for my title. Anyways, you might want to check out Elizabeth’s gallery for some fun inspiration. Here is another example: And my lift: Like this? Then maybe it’s your turn to find some inspiration in Elizabeth Carney’s gallery.

Saturday Feature: Umbrella Weather

Finally: It’s umbrella weather again. After two weeks of straight raining, it’s finally time to get those umbrellas out for the most important reason. When I first came to China, one thing I learned about the lifestyle here is that an umbrella on a sunny day is almost more vital than an umbrella on a rainy day. The reason: White skin. Everyone here prefers pale skin as that is considered more beautiful here, so on a sunny day like this, people prefer to hide in the shadows – or … have their umbrellas handy. One more thing I still need to adapt myself to, I’m sure!
